Looking forward to this series! Also think it would be interesting if you tracked and shared how much sealed product gets infused into this project. Actually thinking about it I would definitely watch just straight pack openings of you guys. I think a full master set is out of my reach, but at the moment I'm thinking I'd like to try to get a complete hyperspace set. We'll see -- can't wait!

Rare bases have a regular foil version. The only cards with no foil are the double sided cards (leaders and common bases).

When I jumped back into Pokemon for the 151 set I also did my own version of a master set and chronicled the journey. I did a "Pokedex" entry, writing down the Pokemon I "caught" as I pulled them. If I traded cards with anyone I logged thier name next to the card in the offical set booklet. And I'm looking to incorporate some more stuff when it's all said and done. Props to trying to master this Star Wars set, seems like a tall task. May the force be with you.

Cool video :) You're a wildman for going after the master set but I approve! Regarding the glare, the left side seems pretty okay. Maybe if you just prop up the right side of the binder abit so that we can view on a slight angle but it would fix the glare. A couple of times when you put your arm under the right side of the binder or are turning a page you can see the right page clearly until you put it back down.

I wish you good luck :) The first singles have started to pop up on eBay. Regular boba and Vader were 40. I think they are gone now. The hyperspace multiplier and hyperspace foil multiplier on the chase legendary is going to be nuts and then there’s the showcase leaders lol. The sheer amount of product needed to be opened to have them available for purchase is going to require some mass box opening stores to get busy yesterday

It's definitely gonna be a challenge, but that's what makes it fun for me :) I'm planning on tracking and talking about how much sealed product goes into this + how much $ I spend on singles and all that, hopefully it'll give people a better look at what it takes to complete this

Thanks so much for watching! I am not planning on keeping duplicates behind the cards cause I personally don’t really like deck building out of binders. I have a card catalogue type system built and I’ll store my deck building playsets and stuff in there. I’d probably only dip into the binder cards if I have to or if I wanted to rock a showcase leader for an event 😄

I think the 4-set, while it's more than a playset, could be a cool compromise between complete bling and saving money haha... can play with the regular foil & both hyperspace versions, then the nonfoil regular keeps the card's spot in the binder! Will be very pretty. I might do this so I'm not tempted to go so deep on all hyperspaces or something 😅

great video, best of luck completing the set. they got that same issue with new mtg cards with foil cards. I don't know why they are curving like that, they said for mtg the US printed tend to do that vs others.

Last Slot can be for some Promo Cards, like luke and vader from the Exclusive event

Yeah, this was cool. It will be cool to see your progress. Have some graphic or timeline like in SW books which plot the books and their events on the main timeline. Log stories to share how you got the cards like the Calrissian Chronicles.

Maybe if you keep the lighting setup, but have the binder lifted slightly on the right and left ends, seems like when it was in a V shape you have no glare. Either way that looks difficult to deal with. Love the vid though, can't wait to collect my set!

The rares in the starter decks don’t have the small foil circle at the bottom , Han , obi wan , etc where as pack versions do . So more cards for the master set

Following this adventure! What portfolio are you using to store the cards? Will it be able to fit the whole set with all the normal, foil, hyperspace ans hyperspace foil cards??

I picked up a 1000+ card binder on Amazon and it just barely will fit everything 😄

1 to 520 as set has 252 cards then 16 showcases then 242 hyperspace as 10 starter only cards are not available in hyperspace. 252 + 16 + 242 = 510 . See numbers on bottom right of each card

Common bases each can have normal and hyperspace versions with either a shield or experience token so that is 32 cards

Each base could have a shield or an experience on the back. I’m not sure if base X always has token Y on the back but if not then there are more version of bases if you want to get granular.

What are the specs on the binder? I’ve been having trouble finding fits to do master sets of my other tcgs and with this one up and coming, I’m going to need some options. *Found the link you posted to the binder on another comment. Back to the rest of video

15:56 You mention the window in the Dooku art, not sure if you watched Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, three of the episodes centered on young Dooku, and without spoiling one of the moments connected to that window it makes me think of that particular episode. The other three episodes follow Ahsoka. Good little series I hope SW does more of with more characters.

As far as binder with pages vs 3 ring binder with removable pages, I have always found the 3 rings themselves to be pretty unreliable but maybe that’s just leftover trauma from high school lol

972 cards is not the correct count for set one, the result is 1011. Details below : The exact count (if I don't made an error) is this : - 18 Normal Leader - 16 + 2 Hyperspace Leader (Luke + Vader from Event Exclusive) - 16 Showcase Leader (No Luke / Vader) - 12 Normal Base - 12 Hyperspace Base - 4 Foil Base (Only the rare) - 4 Hyperspace Base - 222 x 4 cards in all version : Normal + Hyperspace + Foil + Hyperspace Foil (Your 972 total but you must add) - 29 cards from Weekly Booster (Commun + Rare + Foil) - 1 Promo from Store Showdown (Takedown card) - 1 Judge from Store Showdown (Takedown card) - 4 award from Store Showdown (Mace Windu) - 2 Leader from Pre Release Kit (Luke + Vader) - 2 Judge Leader from Pre Release Kit (Luke + Vader) And now you have the final count at 1011 cards for set 1

Im not sure if I mentioned in the video, but I’m not planning on putting any of the promos in the binder unless they use the same art as the normal version like the Luke and Vader. I’ll collect those promos in a separate binder :)

Normal cards and hyperspace cards are numbered 1 to 510 . Then the 16 variant back bases then cards in foil and hyperspace foil is 436 so total is 962

I chatted through my math in our discord server this morning, but I'm planning on slotting in the hyperspace + hopefully foil starter only cards into the binder even though they won't come from packs (assuming they'll make them)

Is there any of rarity like with legendary like other then hyperspace or alt art?

I’m using the Gamegenic perfect fit sleeves and the binder is some random 1000+ binder I found on Amazon. Not the most amazing quality binder ever but it does the trick 👍

I've determined I'm only buying one booster box per set and any starter decks that come with exclusive cards. I couldn't even imagine trying to collect them all. And, if I can't find players consistently, I think I'll just move on after the first set.

How many cards total..1k? I'm gonna start with a binder for just the full base set. Then I will start working Hyperspace and foils, IF I ever get that far lol.

Mostly by being bad at math! Haha Here was my thought: I was counting 252 - 18 (leaders) - 8 (common bases) to get to 226 cards that have 4 variants each so 904 cards 18 leaders each have 3 variants (in theory depending on if luke and vader get them but come on.. they will) which gets me to 958 Then 8 common bases have 2 versions I think, so add 16 and get to 974 (which I got wrong in the video too) But I wasn't accounting for the starter cards not having hyperspace / foil / hyperfoil and I'm half expecting we'll get those at some point anyway
