Something weird I’ve seen, as Bohemia with their new missions you can complete one called “The Golden City” where if you expand infrastructure you get 1,1,1 dev and you can just put that up for 50 adm power, reduce it again for free and the dev doesn’t go down so I have a 200 dev city in 1480

Actually Aztecs get something similar (not as good though imo), same thing with expand infrastructure you get 5 government reform progress, good for getting your reforms fast but also at 75 you can establish American frontiers for a bunch of free colonies

Using legitimate game mechanics isn’t the same as getting the console out. Also, if I recall, there isn’t a % cap on expanding infrastructure, so if you can get it below -100%, it can generate mana. (Idk if possible in base game, but fe in Anbennar you can stack all power cost easier)

Btw you can do Trebizond=>Georgia=>Byzantium, trebizond/georgia have a lot of common points in their mission trees and you can cumulate a lot of permanent modifiers, 70% Perma CCR byzantium is easy to achieve that way.

In my Tirol game, Burgundy has decided to stay indipendent and has wrecked the french and austrians at the same time (i was still a vassal, the austrians were not that weak, the war took way longer than the one with france), to be fair they had 20k aragonese...then again we peaced them out over Naples, we still lost

@@GeggoAmhof I came to the conclusion that if Burgundy will one-stack all troops, they walk one with 22k deathstack vs. French two ~16k walking separetly, and after France loose 1 or 2 battles, appanages start to become disloyal PLUS burgundy is scripted to take 4 provinces from Provence+Lorraine so lands are connected and manuvering is easier for an AI

@@Eluno91 yes that is a very good point, also, big nations seem to collapse quicker, the burgandians with 60k troops folded completely after two split battles with my 35k...they disolved half their army

weird things happen: had genoa take byzantium and then somehow release the latin empire in constantinople in 1460. immediately got conquered by the ottomans

Aragon went Republic, and the Castille was never able to form Spain. Burgundy existed in my game in 1758, only missing the Low Countries and 1 province, and then France never took the rest. Commonwealth PU'd Hungary and not Austria.

Laith has a fever, and the only prescription is MORE IMPERATOR

Trebizond was always very interesting, but sadly they were a little to hard for me, since they have little room to expand. Atleast you found a way to make it work. When you do another part of this, forming Byzantium should be the main goal. Cute cat by the way. 😄

1.37 is the first time I played Austria after 5 failed attempts at Burgundy not rivalling the right nations as Holland and now I have a PU with Russia randomly and a Latin Empire subject, but Burgundy was still stubborn refusing to be subjugated and becoming a faithful ally of the HRE as a shield of Lorraine

We definitely want to see more of this run

Eastern Europe's been really whack in 1.37 - I just had a game as Novgorod-Russia, and within a few decades, Poland got the Lithuania personal union, Lithuania declared independence with help from the Bohemians and Mamluks, Bohemia and Lithuania took massive chunks out of Poland, the Teutons migrated to Pommerania - and to end it off Poland managed to make a come back, taking a bunch of land back from the Lithuanians

you only need to conquer Italy down to Rome and make Rome Muslim in order to form it. I've done it twice the hardest part of it is the stupid AE lol

Imagine this campaign in EU5, I mean granted theres not any cases of huge empries on game start but I would imagine there are going to be some cases where X nation is essentially made to be able to do stuff since otherwise you wouldn't have yk, the Timurid Empire which was highly highly influential. I feel like a cool campaign would be desperately beating them away meaning yk the whole pyramids of skulls thing wouldn't happen which would probably be good for the economy.

For the 200k subs, there should be a mega campaign from Imperator to HoI4.

I have noticed sometimes I cant cancel troop lovements despite not being locked in. A couple missions didnt work out the way I expected as well, but perhaps I read them wrong. I have only played an HRE Austria so far this patch.

It's just a jump in the edit - the battle had been going a few days (you can tell by the mass of red numbers above the battle which are the daily casualties).

AI is more reasonable yet annoying IMO. What I mean is, they (over) evaluate army quality, and even if there is a 100k next to 30k on a fort that’s sieging, they rather not attack, just get attritioned. Maybe bc it’s on very hard, maybe bc I stacked too many modifiers, Idk, AI do be scared tho.

I've been trying to do a Treb run a few times now. Honestly? I found the Byz strat easier than Treb lol. Seems like getting Aq to not ally the ottos is considered a really good start which you show here. Interesting that you didnt go for Circ the whole time but meh, didnt seem to make a huge difference to you honestly
