@@EEVEE_fan16 tbh in a nuzzlocke (with eviolite) you want to keep p2 until you are at a point where you are in dire need of the one shot that pz provides cuz bulky mon with recovery is mostly better than frail glass cannon especially cuz of set mode

@@robinsimon4176 The only problem is that the only other games you get Porygon within the nuzlocke (rather than in the post-game, like here) is Platinum and then Sword and Shield (either with Normal types could be fun, and you can get Porygon on the Isle of Armor) Only Sword and Shield are post-eviolite.

I'm just imagining Slowbro going "wait, shit, I forgot, just a sec, uhh, fuck, hold on... damnit, nope, I forgot." while Lickilicky spins in circles waving a katana

I am a massive Normal type fan, and seeing a run with them in SoulSilver with it's array of mostly weak or mediocre Normal type encounters before the postgame is definitely impressive. Sick sponsor segment too!

The normal type Pokémon in Johto are the best part. There are a bunch of strong ones like miltank, lickiliky, and ambipom.

Normal types are my second fav and is just underated

You can get an Oran berry in the Ruins of Alph before the first gym. Makes it much easier. You just need the escape rope from the Sprout Tower and use it at the back wall plate in the Kabuto puzzle room

This whole run I was wondering how Lance would go since I couldnt think of any supereffective moves the johto normal types have. I found out quickly lol

I think with the Bruno fight, instead of having Leo use Fly, I would've went for utility instead, and used Featherdance to lower Machamp's attack to at least attempt to soften the blow on the next Pokémon that came out. Great video as always!

Precisely. Given Pidgeot was a sack anyway, it would’ve been beneficial to lower Machamp’s attack with that one turn of attack

I like to use a modified version of that rule for my Nuzlockes: Hall of Fame clause. Any successful Hall of Fame team (even those who died at the E4 or Champion battle) can only be used again in the region where they won. Unless future versions are Shiny. This doesn’t affect Starters much (except once I used a Wonder Traded Torchic in Pokémon Y so that guy’s native to Kalos now… lol). Pokémon that appear in many regions start having this cat-and-mouse game about them… do you really want them on your Hall of Fame team if it means they can’t be used again? And on the other side of that, regional exclusives have more value than they usually would. Sure, put a Furfrou on your Champion team. That will not affect other games. Just keeps things interesting.

Soul/Heart are really fun for mono-normal. It also managed to make me appreciate Girafarig and Stantler as solid mixed attackers.

15:15 Funnily enough, Fake out doesn't out-prioritize Quick Attack in Gen IV. It actually has the same +1 priority, but since you are both in the same priority bracket, Quick Claw can (and apparently did) cause the Meowth to move first.

I love normal type nuzlockes! They have a great variety of type coverage with all the various tms they can learn. Plus, they (in general) don't have many weaknesses, and there's a lot of pkmn that have secondary normal types.

Soul silver on a Sunday with Silph is spectacular

I was dying with laughter after seeing the Super Saiyan hair appear and the voice effects on the declining HP.

I love the thought of that scientist giving you the egg and you just chuck it whole into your mouth, then throw him the thumbs up as you leave the pokemart

PLEASE can we see a rock nuzlocke of sun, moon, ultra sun, or ultra moon? 95% sure it’s possible, you just have to either give yourself Tauros Charge early or use your starter for the first island. If you do give yourself early access to Tauros Charge, you get three encounters. EDIT: you can also get a Carbink on Poke Pelago if you give Pelago to yourself early.

Handicapping yourself by taking out previously used pokemon adds a really cool element to this run!

Absolutely loved this run! I genuinely thought all hope was lost after that vicious battle against Lance. Also, killer type coverage between Tauros, Snorlax, and PorygonZ.

After the "entire franchise with no repeats" Nuzlocke and your "impossible type" Nuzlocke, this is everything that should be. New Pokémon to the player and a whole world of challenge (y'know, normal type)

I would honestly like to see you try a nuzlocke that has a lot of encounters and doesn't have many challenging fights just to see you destroy everything.

Furret is my favorite Pokemon. I'll never forget the Wedlocke where I used her against Lance with her partner dead, and ended up killing his Dragonite with After You to use Dragon Rush against it. Had Blizzard as backup but her Attack was way higher, so it was an epic way to finish. Always glad to see Furret used!

I was concerned for a moment on that Red battle, I still feel chivers everytime I approach Mount Silver.

Here’s another (insane) hard idea for Heartgold/Soul Silver… Hard Core Nuzlocke of Soul Silver/HeartGold with poison types… BUT it must be PURE poison types! That gives you the Ekans line, Koffing Line, Muk Line, Nidorina and Nidorino, Seviper and Swalot!
