Great explanation brother Corey. I always tell people that God is merciful to forgive us if we acknowledge our sin but it’s when we try to justify our sin that we aren’t forgiven. So unlike many other sins, people who seek to live a lifestyle of homosexuality whereby they are trying to legitimize and justify this way of life aren’t repentant at all. We all sin but the believer is sorrowful and does not like it.

@clydeaugmon7369 I agree to that. I was replying to the first commenter about stopping sin. He talks as if people don’t have moments of weakness and repent to move forward away from it. All people who have these desires are not the same. There are those I recently talked to that can’t verbally admit to any form of fornication or sexual immorality which is wrong, and there’s also those that do struggle and fall and get back up as recognize it as immoral against God. 2 completely different lifestyles but we group them together, which isn’t a hopeful message.

Either Jesus died for all our sins or He didn't. Salvation is by Grace or it isn't. The scripture stands firm that Jesus died for all our sins, and that salvation is by Grace. All believers in the person and finished work of Christ will be saved. If not, then nobody will be saved as nobody is without sin. We have to read the scriptures in their context and whether it's speaking to people who believe in Christ or do not believe in Christ. Saved believers who live in sin will experience chastisement and many temporal consequences but they do not lose salvation.

God's merciful grace is afforded to us in recognition that Christ died to set us free FROM sin. We all face sins of the flesh; however, we can not be living IN SIN and professing to be IN CHRIST. We praise God for His grace, and we must be repentant. Anyone claiming Christ while still living in opposition to God's Word may not even be a true believer (1John 1:6-10). The bible is clear that the unrepentant sinner will have their part in condemnation (Proverbs 14:2, Matt 17:13-14, Rom 1:29-32, Rom 6:15-16, Rev 21:8, et al.), but he who does God's will shall continue into eternal life in God's presence (Mark 3:35, Rom 2:2-10, Rom 6, 1 John 2:1-6, Rev 22:14 et al.). We must always be mindful of that. Peace and grace to you.

So my daughter was born into a Christian home. we went to church every Sunday nondenominational. We volunteered for the four and five year old children. When she was 13, she accepted our Lord and Savior. Was Dan baptized and Panama City? But then became bisexual. She struggled with tremendously to the point that she took her life. I believe that we have a very merciful God. That he sees our heart, especially hers. I believe my daughter is in heaven. She was more Christian than those that go to church. She went to Christian school and knew every Bible verse. The Lord is so kind that He has left me letters that My Daughter wrote to Him. She was beautiful artist, and she had paintings of the Lord. How can He allow her to enter His kingdom? do you know how many beautiful Christian homosexual would be in hell? How many people that have mental illness to their life would be hell.? Because that’s in the Bible too. You see I’m grieving mom and I’m also a strong believer. I see God in a different light. Blasphemy. That’s another story.

It works, yes we all make mistakes in life and yes we all sin. But like in 1 John 1:8-10 it says “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. So see God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Galatians 5 does not appear to be talking about saved Christians when referring to "those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." The context of the passage is a warning against seeking righteousness by following the law. Given the implications of this (freedom to sin), Paul then tells his audience of saved believers to not use this freedom to walk in the same manner as the unsaved sinners listed in verses 19-21. Paul says, "If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit." This would imply that one can live by the Spirit but also NOT keep in step with it. A person having sex outside the context of marriage between man and woman is not keeping in step with the Spirit, but I believe they can still have life in Christ.

The law of Moses was given to Israel, and to no other nation. (Ps147:19-20) The church is NOT Israel, because Israel is described as being enemies concerning the gospel. (Romans 11:28, 10:8) The law of Moses may have been perfect for its time, but Jesus indicates that it was also flawed, and says that it is not meant to be applied universally (Matthew 19:8). Romans 14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. We as Christians may eat all things. According to the Bible only those who are spiritually weak think it's bad to eat anything. 1 Corinthians 8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. We are even permitted to eat food sacrificed to idols because we know idols are not even real. There is only 1 GOD. 1 Corinthians 8:13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth*, lest I make my brother to offend. If we are in the presence of those who think eating meat is a sin, we are to refrain from eating meat in food sacrificed to idols because we can lead them to go against their own conscious and sin. Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. To one person, something may be sin but to another person it is not a sin. This shows us that if we think somthing is not a sin we shouldn't do it around someone who thinks it is a sin because we will cause them to go against their conscience and sin agianst themselves. Romans 14:20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. Meat can't cause 1 to sin unless | \/ Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. If there's anything we do in life and we can't do it in faith, it is sin. Pray this helps...GOD BLESS.

Spot on, I use this same argument with "christians" that think they can keep living in practiced sin and ask for forgiveness on their deathbed. I tell them that they cannot rely on that, what if they get blindsided crossing the street? What if they slip in the tub and hit their head on the faucet? The English word "Sin" is a medieval archery term that means you've "missed your target". We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The thing that separates the truly saved Christians from the rest of the world is our repentant heart. We do not seek sin (seek to intentionally miss our target). Satan may catch us slipping from time to time, but we are not planning to practice it in advance. We try to always hit our target. Like Paul, we all have a thorn in our side... a temptation that pervades our mind from time to time... I think so that we can never claim to be perfect on our own. We need to call out to God for our salvation, but when we do, we need to give Him our all. Let Him clean all the rooms in your Temple, don't leave even a closet left unturned. If we see some dirt accumulating in one of our rooms, call housekeeping, don't just watch it pile up and be satisfied.

Everytime I fell, I would grieve and repent and get back up relying on Jesus as savior. But it seems this videos gives the indication that if you are still sinning, you aren't saved. I dont know if it leaves room for beleivers who are still in a battle with habitual sin.

Probably it's a gray area that sometimes does not get addressed. I guess in Corey's defence is that, if you still call yourself a homosexual then you are not at all willing to give up that lifestyle. So the question is are you willfully sinning or struggling with sin. If you're willfully sinning then chances you were never saved however struggling with sin is reality as we all do. But the question is do we affirm that or not.

I’ve dealt with the same thing, when you do something wrong you say sorry and move on, u can do it a couple times but after a couple it’s like okay dude u must not be sorry. Right? Okay so it’s kinda like that but you should be living for god and ask yourself before everything what would Jesus do. To the side, no one is truly saved unless their names in lambs book of life, you get there by repenting, accepting Jesus in ur heart, be baptized in Jesus name…. The proof of the Holy Spirit inside of you is speaking in tongues

And I see it all the time so I know it’s real… no one can tell me something if I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Yes just water doesn’t save. You have to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus, fully accept him in your heart and life, then hopefully you too can speak in tongues. But after those steps you are wrote in the lambs book of life.

Or is their repentant and guilty heart the indication they are still saved even though they have actually committed those sins.

  • @BEABEREAN10

I guess my only concern with this video is that it may turn the purpose of the gospel to mere behavior modification. ie: you are only saved if you no longer are sinning. That is absolutely something we should strive for with the power of the HS, but behavior modification is not how we know we are saved...faith is how we know we are saved (heb 11:1-3) When I got saved, I still struggled with lustful sins for a long time (longer than I feel I should have) but even though I kept falling, I knew that the grace of God was enough. It was not that I had this idea of grace being liberty to sin so that I did that stuff freely...but that in the battle against the sin if I fell, I had confidence that God would not give up on me.

I would think no. Your actions at some point should line up with what you say you believe. Your repentant heart should lead you to obedience, or certain consequences in the flesh become possible. I would question the validity or authenticity of your salvation if u claim to be repentant yet still committing the same sins. Habitual and willful sin is different from sins of consequence. Make sense?

I actually agree with that except the scripture you used is taken out of context. When you sin against God would you not agree, it’s quite different then sinning against your brother? Also all of us.. everyone has struggled with long standing willful and habitual sin. Even after you are fully done with said sins (whatever they are) you still may struggle with thoughts or past experiences. The key is the Holy Spirit will lead you into holiness, and pleasing Christ becomes priority. Over time this new found love of pleasing God begins take priority. Our regeneration, and salvation is walked out over time, after many small victories. There is no one and done to this. Deliverance daily! We make a decision every morning to either do what’s right or do what’s pleasing to the flesh. Took me many years of a constant cycle of binging and purging before I was completely tired of going to God for my alcohol problem. After a while the joy of that sin began to diminish in comparison to pleasing God.. I could no longer reconcile how that action benefited me or my family. Sin is damaging and dark, yet pleasurable at the same time. That’s what makes it challenging. Again though, it’s not an overnight process. These things take time for spiritual freedom set in; but once they do the joy that comes behind that success is something you don’t ever want to jeopardize again. 🙏🙏🤲🤲

Why not? They are just as human as you or me. If you want to say that homosexuality is not Christian, you must approve of slavery, which was supported by Jesus and St Paul. The first homosexual marriage in the USA was performed by a Methodist minister pursuant to a regularly issued marriage licence. St Paul regarded homosexuality as the wages of sin, but the practice had been around for a long time before him. I have been happily married for 52 years to my "perfect match," but for those like Tchaikovsky, Flaubert, the artist Bacon and many others who have excelled in the arts, I would not deny them happiness. Tchaikovsky did marry a woman; the marriage lasted a fortnight. She wrote in her diary what a wonderful husband Peter was; I don't know what sex life they had.

No more than someone like me that keeps repeating the same sins again and again. Its sins against God that keep you out of Gods kingdom. Homosexuality is a sin against God just like, lying, stealing, using the Lords name in vain and not forgiving others. And yes I do realize that God does see sins on different levels, like murder would receive a harsher punishment than a lie, yet both are still punishable.

Yes, and the people who say queer Christians go to Hell are actually the ones who are going to Hell (if that's what they've always believed). They were trusting in their works, they were trusting in their good behaviour, they trusting in their ability to repent of all of their sins, and not in Christ alone to save them. Therefore, they're going to hear the words of Jesus in Matthew chapter 7, "Depart from me, I never knew you!"

Sex is for procreation and could be considered a form of worship in a marriage. Marriage is between a man and a woman. None the less, the pee pee doesn't go where the poo comes out. That's just nasty!🤣

A homosexual is a person who PRACTICES homosexuality will not go to heaven. Revelation 21:8 (NKJV) “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” All those who PRACTICE any acts on that list.
