Today, Edward will be talking about if College Consultants are really able to help students. These consultants claim to boost acceptance rates by up to 700%, but are they telling the truth?

great analysis!
good job Edward, I appreciate that your videos are very educational while still being entertaining.
Vids never disappoint, thumbnails are on point, keep staying consistent and you’ll do well 🔥
The Matchlighters Program from College Essay Guy is great for FGLI students that need some help in the application process. My Matchlighters counselor helped me make a college list, edit my essays, and get through financial aid forms. She was a great resource, and I wouldn't have had such great essays without her. I recently matched with a T10 school through Questbridge!
Not all consultants are created equal. In this video you focused on two big firms that are not representative of the diversity of consultants available. You also based your analysis on these firms' self-reported stats. Yet, college admissions consulting is very much an art, not a science. Based on your personal experience to date, you would have benefited from an early and ongoing relationship with college admissions coach willing and able to provide you with constructive feedback on your self-concept, preconceptions about the process, and, most importantly, your evolving admissions profile while in high school and the quality (as viewed from the perspective of typical admissions officers at colleges on your list) of your application materials. Good luck during RD.
