This is the stupidest thing! Sugar is not the only issue. People think that diabetes is caused by too much sugar, but that’s not the truth. All of these I’m about to list are factors: Family history, metabolism, muscle mass, pancreas issues, liver issues, how often you are eating, simple carbohydrates, seed oils, fried foods, fat and sugar among others. What will work for one diabetic won’t work for another. These “diabetic health professionals” really do not know anything past the books. And that’s to their disadvantaged. Their book won’t work for most diabetics. If they are taxing sugar, it needs to be on everything that has sugar in it. Including tomato sauce! Yes, tomato sauce will raise some diabetic’s blood sugar. It’s not just candy, cakes, cookies and such.

Here in America, the tobacco tax didn't stop anybody from smoking one bit. It just made them poorer.

Wrong smoking in America was reduced by 55% from 2005 to 2021. Only 11.5% of Americans smoke now. That's a very significant reduction.

The damage was actually don't decades ago. If people have high blood sugar levels certain product could be reduced, but food company's didn't want to lose customers, so the started selling diet, no sugar an low sugar products but they also started adding non nutritive sweetener to products which further messed up people's diets. The America's, UK and Australia consume alot of processed foods that also leads to insulin resistance, pcos, hypothyroidism and many other health risk

India should implement a 'honking tax'. Patch cars with some recording device, and levy proportionate tax on the number of hours honked. Might deter car and bike owners from needlessly blaring their horns.
