Can an Employee Be Fired for Giving Notice of Resignation?
Many employees who decide to leave their jobs try to give their employers a reasonable notice period - often two weeks. But is an employer required to let the departing employee work those two weeks? If you work in an at will state you can be fired without cause or if you give notice. You can't take any legal action against them.
