Yep and honestly if it were not for how easy it was for her to learn how to ride the Ryker she probably would not be riding. While it is easy to learn to ride it takes practice to get good at it and a love to ride which comes about when it is easier and safer to ride.

Thank you for including us on your Channel, we had a great time visiting and riding with you two last Spring UPDATE: prior to thanksgiving Carly currently had over 8500 miles on her bike between April to November. Dan Spyder is sitting at over 14,000 miles as of this moment. The only thing that slowed Carly down was the crappy, rainy, cold weather. But we have heated gear and it’s supposed to be dry this weekend so we will be out and about… We love our bikes, went to the Maggie valley rally and have had several long distance trips to the mountains and planning many many more in the future. We also now wear Bohn armor and have equipped our bikes with some really nice air/gel cushions from wild ass seats, which helps a lot on long trips. Carly can ride her Ryker three hours without even needing a break. Carly has now ridden Back of the Dragon and head of the Dragon in Virginia and we also rode Tail of the Dragon, the Cherohala Skyway, the Rattler, and lots of unnamed twisties in the mountains. More to come!

It is very sporty and it’s fun, it does not have all the bells and whistles a Spyder does but one up it is a Very fun machine and the 900 Sport with the upgraded suspension and cruise control with a few add ons make it quite able to take on a long range trip. Ridden properly, learning how to let the CVT works make it fun and effortless

It’s great to see other couples riding their own bikes. We put about 5k miles on our Rykers in a year and traded them in on F3’s. We’re about to 5k on the Spyders since June. I’m definitely considering that Lamonster windshield, the bungee buttons and the wind wings. I’ve been looking for more accessories to throw money at. 😂. Hope all is well. Ride safe Carly and Dan. 👍

And just less than one year’s time from April to November, Carly has put over 8500 miles on her Ryker. The only thing that has slowed her down with some very cold rainy, crappy weather. But it will be dry this weekend coming and we have cold weather gear so more miles to pile up but currently her bike got a little over 8500 on it and the spider has 14,000+ lots more long trips planned

Can-Am Couple, that's a great channel name if they ever decided to do KZread 😂 Carly has certainly been busy upgrading her Ryker 900 Wow Dan's F3 is super awesome, he's definitely done a lot to it, and what a guy with so much riding experience. Tommy G was taking dagger blow after dagger blow when Dan was talking about the Harley comparisons. Great video, those two are so lovely. Wishing them all the best for the upcoming riding season.

Great story all the way through! Reminds me some of me and my wife (we'll have to line up for your next "Can Am Couples" interview)! I don't nearly have the riding experience as Dan does, but I did start young (with two wheels) and now that I'm older, I love the choice to go with the Can Am. Such a wonderful designed vehicle, and so much fun to ride. You guys do so much to bring enlightenment to not only potential riders, but those of us who have been doing it for a little bit now! Keep doing whatcha do! {so grateful for you guys} ☺

Yes, please!! I know we will be heading to Hanover in March or April...I need all my new tires put on and just a "go over" to make sure everything is still ok after that rough ride to/from Alaska! Haven't had a ride since August 28th....once this snow melts though, I am ready!! Of course, I'll be working. Should be in the 60s this weekend, so I'm ready for that. I'm off Friday so I can get some riding time in!

Glad you will be able to get some saddle time! 💜🤗 When we stop for gas, we usually take turns going in to use the bathroom and that way someone is always outside with the helmets. If we stop to eat, we take the helmets with us and sometimes that it's a pain.

@@PurpleOnThree we have lived in CA for over 10 years now and this is probably the most i have ever seen it rain. A lot of people have had their houses flooded. Insurance companies have stopped paying out as much and deny claims more so it has put a lot of families in a bind.

What, more Purple than Purple on Three, you've got some serious competition there Jody. Seems like Tommy G is about envious of the competition there too, I bet he never thought of himself as a Slow coach 😟😂 These three wheeled machines sure look comfortable but they're also expensive, I'm not about to trade my four bikes for one yet but who knows what the future holds.

Yep, Carly has more purple on her ride than I do, but that's ok! I prefer to wear mine lol! I haven't seen a wrap or purple paint job that makes my head spin so I'll stick with blue for now. Well, I guess expensive depends....for example, Tommy's HD Ultra Limited and my Spyder F3 Limited are both 2018's and we bought them used. I paid $8K less than he did and the Spyders are certainly less expensive than Harley trikes. When I buy my next one, it will most likely be a year or two old with someone else's upgrades (and their money). You just keep on enjoying those rides, Michael! I mean, when spring comes of course! Be safe out there! 💜🤗

Well, TommyG keeps talking about me getting a newer Spyder...but no dealers want mine on a trade in...too many miles they say...so you do the math, lol! He's either going to steal it or I'm going to ride it until the wheels fall off! 😂🤷‍♀️

Always trying to figure out what to do with my helmet. My wife looked at a freewheeler, she liked it. Except for the $40k price. Got to get her to check out those

I looked at the freewheeler and the Triglide. I have written a Triglide do not like how it handles compared to a Can-Am spider. And you get a lot more bang for your buck dollar for dollar.

​@@danmittendorff3155 Yessir, I've only ever road one of those old 3 wheelers, you know the dirt bike one's. Totally sucked at it. I'd like to ride them all. Moreso get my wife on something

Yes the tire pressure monitor is pretty accurate, but it is best to use your own “master gauge” whatever it is to get a good base reading. I always air up 1 pound higher than I want and then screw the caps with the sensors on as you may loose 1/2 to 1 pound as you screw them in. You also need to charge them up the first time but honestly the solar power has kept rhe main unit going very well. One side note I pull them off when I wash the bike or know we are headed for a serious downpour. The fasten with Velcro so not a problem btw
