I just did a 3000 mile trip on my Enfield 650. Had to change the handle bar for all day comfort. Rode through 100 degree heat, driving rain and a few dirt roads. The Enfield did it all without a single complaint. What a great bike for it's intended market.

Bringing an INT 650 to a track day makes as much sense as bringing a Mustang to a logging road. There's nothing wrong with the Mustang (or the INT 650), they're both just the wrong tool for the job. But for a 400 mile, single-day road ride, I'm betting that the comfort factor of the R-E puts it way ahead of the ergos of the SV.

Okay guys. For everyone out there outside of India or even most people in India are not aware of "Royal Enfield continental GT cup " it is a retro racing motorbike championship organised by royal Enfield. They guy every racer stock 650 continental GT with some basic changes in tyre, exhaust, fairing and footpeg position. It has been really well captured and series of videos were released by a channel called "PowerDrift". I will highly appreciated you guys to watch those videos. Must watch for Racing enthusiasts too.
Lol this was really fun too see! And props to Josh by improving a whole lot already! I do want to see the Enfield with some proper upgrades on the track again. And also Triumph vs Josh's SV or on a different 600 like the CBR or ZX6 or also a Triumph to see how he does. Obviously Yam has more experience, but still Josh's is growing really well as rider!

Could be worse...like on a 50cc moped.
When you come back with the hotted Enfield, do NOT mess with the engine, save for performance air filter, race pipes et, also clip on`s, rear sets, braded brake hoses, and some decent tyres. Try to keep the base structure and performance the same, just used chassis mods, and accessory breathing and exaust. That will give you a good idea of what can be achieved from a stock engine.
enjoyed this, looks like u both had a blast.
This is the same energy as tracking an 80's Oldsmobile complete with jello suspension
Great Stuff Yammie!👍👍
Oh, that was fun. I like your ideas for rearsets and tires. How about a YSS fork upgrade, intake, exhaust, S&S cam, and a tune? That would give you probably 15hp and better handling. Hi, even so with all the track results in this video. I have the desire to purchase a Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor as my next motorcycle. I'd like it for long distance travelling about the country. My favorite feature about it is that it looks like a motorcycle. Second favorite is compared to the Triumph 650 and the Yamaha XS-1 650. The Enfield is the current zenith of the 650-c.c. twin, air cooled motorcycle with its six-speed transmission. I remember the Triumph Road Racing motorcycles of 1967-69.
Fun times!👍
