Can A DJ Baronet Save A 500-Year-Old Mansion? | Country House Rescue: Elmore Court

Elmore Court is a grade II listed mansion, located in Elmore, Gloucestershire. The house has been the family seat of the Guise baronets for nearly 800 years. The current owner, dance DJ Anselm Guise, inherited the estate in 2007 from his uncle (who had often disapproved of his nephew's lifestyle), with the baronetcy going to Anselm's 77-year-old father. Now, Anselm's laid-back approach has led to the property's slow deterioration, so Ruth must inspire a sense of determination in the owner to save the mansion from falling even further into disrepair.

It’s a beautiful wedding venue now! The place has been fully renovated and he’s added more buildings. He got married and has a few kids. So sweet to see what a great job he’s done with his estate. Despite the host’s very negative (and sometimes down-right rude comments), he has made such a wonderful go of what he inherited and would make all of his ancestors proud!

Love this show, and I really enjoy Ruth's no-nonsense, approach to her clients, to make them successful. I have been watching now for some time and would love a follow up show to where they are now. Thanks for showing us.

What you call no nonsense, I call condescending (especially when she smiles as she's doing it) and insulting.

I'm confused about why she was so negative about the seed starts being in that room. It was for the reviving of the kitchen garden and wouldn't be there long. It was the perfect place if they don't have a functional greenhouse. Then implying that he was growing drugs and that his friends were hippies sounded weird to me. The business wasn't even open yet. You should see what my living room looks like right now preparing for the garden lol. It's the only place I currently have and will be planted in a few weeks. Was this there for the sake of television? My guess is that the whole thing was contrived to get interest in the business that is now successful

I LOVE these shows! And love seeing these amazing historical homes preserved! When there's no money, It would be amazing for young skilled craftsman and cleaners to take working holidays. Of course with rules and background checks. But it would be a great way to have their skills showcased, make new friends and memories.

The way they all treat him! As if he is 17 and not 40-yar old man! And his approach to everything... As if he didn't know he will inherit for years and years. His uncle died "suddenly"? Come on. Man child.

They are trying to downsize of the golden era of olden days, as to modernize it to be more acceptable. I agree it definitely should be salvaged because of how historic it is so forget about the monarchy .. the British government itself should. I assume most of the money goes to welfare benefits as well as other governmental costs
