Too Good to Go is too unreliable. Some days you can sign up for 5 different places and get nothing in the end. You're better off just having a random person make a random purchase so that you at least know you'll have anything to work with. Ask Atomic Shrimp.

I might have been very lucky, but i think having 5 of them cancelled in the same day is extremely unlucky Of course the contents vary, and some definitely haven't been great, but that would be part of the challenge.

Barry's main problem has always just been effort. Man showed up to a pasta skill battle with no timer and spent most it reclining on a couch watching KZread. He's pretty good when he wants to try. The issue comes when the timer starts or he has to follow instructions from someone who isn't kush XD

One of the big takeaways I've had ever since Kush started appearing on camera is that the blender is your best friend and good use of a food processor can let you make anything "more cheffy" without a ton of effort.

Kush giving such direct (and indirect) compliments to Barry this episode is honestly both wholesome and really funny xD

Kush is so encouraging and attentive as a teacher but also very precise. And you can see Barry brought his A game today, determined to earn Kush's stamp of approval and he got it, in spades! I love that while Kush can be bluntly critical but also be generous with his appreciation. Kush is known for bringing the chaos but in these food forward videos, he just slips so naturally into the role of a teacher, just happy to share and encourage learning. And Barry, famous for being an 'out-of-the box' thinker matched beautifully with Kush's maverick ideas! What a delight to watch! Kudos, as always, to the Sorted Team! ❤

Really nice to see them working without a deadline too, the pace of this was lovely. Very instructional from Kush and I love his calmness (in fairness he's pretty calm even with a deadline, just more chaos monkey also in those circumstances - which does have its own charm too)

It's nice to see Kush and Baz working together while cooking, as opposed to the intense rivalry and disdain that Kush usually has for "Sous-Chef" Barry.😂 Happy to see them together!

The difference between Barry being in the kitchen with Kush, compared to being in there with Ben, is amazing. With Kush he actually seems to learn things, and seems to feel a sense of pride and reward for what he is doing. When he's with Ben, he's pretty much just mucking around and not paying full attention. Kush really has been an amazing addition to this channel.

@@TheSeatedView I think it's also that Barry has known Ben for well over 20 years, long before he was ever a chef, and Ben is in that family/friend you've known forever category where you're not really trying to impress them so much and you're not necessarily going to listen to them so much whereas Kush was a professional chef with a lot of experience when they hired him so there's naturally a bit more of a desire to impress him.

Cornflakes taste pretty good if you don't eat sweets often. There's a natural corn sweetness and with a bit of honey or a sprinkle of sugar it's a nice simple pleasure.

I really loved Kush and Barry's chemestry on this video. For a long time I thought they had some beef, but this video totally changed my mind. They work very well together.

I think the thing I like the most about this channel, and this particular challenge, is getting a glimpse into the mind of a chef. How someone can take literally dozens of ingredients they're not accustomed to putting together and yet in the end the dish looks like something that should be on a menu somewhere. Absolutely bloody brilliant. The teacher-student vibe was great too. Thanks fellas.

Kush is always so funny when he starts naming five dishes in one sentence so that no one can come after him

And here I thought I was being innovative having bulked some leftover fajitas from takeaway the other day with some rice and spices to make a pseudo stir fried rice. The way you all can take a look at premade food items and say “i can use the components of this to make something entirely different” never ceases to baffle me

Oh this is one of my favourite formats! Love to see Kush's cheffy brain at work (and seeing Baz being ordered around is quite a fun bonus 😅) Also, I can't stop laughing at the excited/curious "oh two course meal?" followed by the completely nonchalant "No, just two directions"

I agree with Kush, Barry did a great job. Love this format where it is challenging but they can take their time.

I’m a huge fan of carbs, sugar and coffee. This episode spoke to me in a nearly spiritual level. The dessert, I think I will dream about it.

God I love the duo of chef+Sous-chef *actually* working in the kitchen as chef and sous-chef. Barry enabling Kush to focus on what to do and assisting with ideas and prep was oddly nice to watch. Would be awesome to see a normal+chef thing doing an waaay over-engineered dish in time that would be impossible on your own, normal prepping for the chef to cook.

Reduced roulette is my favorite game to play. Trying to cook a meal out of whatever is in the reduced sections of the shops :)

Kush is " Da Man " Barry's onion work is beyond me.

I have to give credit where it's due. Barry absolutely stepped up his game and impressed Kush. Though I do think that with Kush by his side, helped. Kush seems to have that natural "Teacher/mentor" approach, where it seems like he can put people at ease and help build them up.

Which is just as well because Kush is so inventive and with Barry's helpful input, had some great tips. ❤️👌

Love this format. Absolutely mad creations and a much better use of the takeaway ingredients 😆😆. And done with such glee it is delightful.

I'm two minutes into the video and I just have to stop and say, Kush's passion for cooking is contagious. You can see it in his eyes, he genuinely loves what he does. Every time i see Kush have some sort of brain blast of inspiration, is so satisfying to watch and idk how else to explain it

I was literally saying to myself that Barry was really keeping up with the ideas with Kush so well, that despite how close the skills challenge points were, he def earned the sous chef apron... then moments later Kush: "That's stunning! Barry Taylor you've started to earn that apron!"

A little disappointing promoting Starbucks given their horrendous ethics record. Not that you have to push a positive ethical agenda, but you guys do.. If you're going to, be consistent.
