I was a bit nervous and... not quite skeptical, but I'm a James stan so I was worried it was trying to force someone into a similar role and... well, it's obviously not, and I needn't have been worried. He's got such a great, unique, chaotic energy and personality that he really adds, and now I love whenever James comes back, and he and Kush share the screen.

I love that despite Kush heckling Barry about the sous-chef title, he doesn't stop guiding, encouraging Barry throughout the the process, and gives Barry full credit for the chicken fritters. This team is the opposite of toxic work culture and toxic interpersonal relationships!

Yeah. Of course not all high end chefs (or any chef) are knobs in the kitchen but I'd LOVE to be trained by Kush. He's incredibly paitient, informative and gives the impression of actaully liking the role of teacher chef on Sorted.

Kush & Barry is a whole different dynamic than Kush & James and I have no idea how he manages to be on both ends of that talent spectrum at the same time.

Just to clarify, in Canada, KFC restaurants in mostly EN provinces are still called KFC. In FR provinces (like Quebec), you are correct, it's PFK, which is the translation of KFC (PFK). Poulet frit = Fried chicken; and in FR the F stands for fried, not frites (fries/chips) :)

It's called PFK because we have a language law that forces businesses to either have a French name or a French descriptor of what kind of store they are. This is because until the 70's a lot of stores here were owned by anglophones, hired English-speaking staff and served customers only in English. Whenever I tell people from France that we made these laws because French used to be a second-class language here, they're surprised at the notion, because they're used to French being perceived as a prestige language more often than not.

Kush is so relaxed, and I think it made Barry anxious haha I love Kush taking advantage of being able to chop on the work surface while Ben is away.

I LOVE how Kush is always taking on the "Mentor/teacher" role. He's always willing to teach, and show how to do. If all kitchens had a Kush, I think the culinary industry would be so much better.

Kush makes me so happy, he seems to have so much fun on camera.

I love Kush. He has great personality, energy, and creativity. When he levels something up, he really levels it up. He comes up with such awesome things. He thinks outside the box. The things he comes up with, blows my mind. So glad to see him playing a more active role in front of the camera. I mean, I love Ben and James as well ( I would bring Ben home with me if it wasn't considered kidnapping) but Kush is an awesome addition.

I would also like to bring Ben home with me, in a completely non-kidnappy way. 100% agree with everything you said about Kush too. He became a fast favourite of mine as soon as I saw him in the show that Sorted filmed with their live audience, however long ago, and he’s only made me love him even more ever since.

This series is just Kush secretly teaching Barry how to actually cook. I hope at the end of the year Barry has to do a big, Fancy from Fast Food, meal by himself. That way, we can see how much information he's actually retained and if he gets to keep the apron.

I would love a boss like Kush. Has all the confidence in you but he immediately jumps in to help when you struggle. Great character

There needs to now be an episodic thing yall do where its called KFC (Kush's Food Corner) and just let kush go absolutely wild making whatever he can out of fast food or take away

Kush is (for me) the ONLY person who is a whole team in himself. Fun, chaotic, insightful, serious, innuendos and straight up top-tier quality. He is a one man band and such a powerhouse. I'm really, really happy and thankful that he accepted to try a go in front of the camera a few times and found this amazing balance with it. He has elevated the entire channel. And the more he is in front of the camera, the more we get to see his influence and references over the years on the rest of the team. The small blips and bobs here and there throughout all elements of this amazing content. Thank you :)

Yep, PFK in Quebec :) Also Barry translated it "word for word" to "chicken chips Kentucky", probably thinking "frit" was the same as "frite" (fries or chips), but it actually simply means "fried", so it stills translates to "Kentucky fried chicken" :)

I love watching Kush going into hyper focus mode, I have so much awe for him. Amazing chef and probably my top favourite.

I love watching Kush in front of the camera. He is a delight and so knowledgeable that I never leave without having learned something. I also like how kind and friendly he is to everyone. YAY, KUSH!!!!!

Kush really shines when he's mentoring someone. Also I love the contrast between how chaotic he is while cooking and how calm he is while mentoring Barry. 😂

I absolutely love watching Kush. He’s so knowledgeable and such a good teacher. Honestly though, I don’t really see the benefit of time limits on everything. The challenge is already challenging, I don’t think the time pressure really adds. Something like a competition or relay, absolutely, but it doesn’t seem necessary on these types of vids. Could just be me though. 😅

I use KFC bones to make chicken stock for soup. I make sure there are some crumbs left on the bones. It gives the stock an extra depth of flavour. That looked so yummy well done Kush & Bazza

I collect bones from all manners of fried poultry that made way into the house in the freezer and do the same! I don't eat KFC but things like Korean fried chicken, rotisserie chicken or Peking duck add that special something to the stock.

I honestly don't understand how Kush's (or Ben's) brain works. but damn they pull off the most amazing things. I never could have imagined this as the outcome

the pasta move was absolutely brilliant. i thought he was going to make a sauce for the pasta when he threw the gravy and the skin into the blender. when he started pouring it into the food processor with the flour it clicked and my mind was blown.

Chef Kush has an enchanted palate, for sure. Had my husband watch this with me and he was really impressed!!!

I absolutely love watching Kush! I'm so happy he's in front of the camera now.

Kush continues to show why he's a main character. The way he appears as though he doesn't know quite what to do meanwhile that mad food genius brain is already working in overtime to deliver a culinary masterpiece? Excellent. Also, I appreciate that he teaches without being condescending which is a quality I don't think a lot of chefs have. Well done Kush. PS.: The best kfc is from Trinidad and Tobago 👍

Listening to him say "the quality of the chicken is worse", I thought "don't get KFC in the Czech Republic." I've actually never had it myself, and one of the reasons I will never get it is knowing where they get their chickens. 🙄 I used to live for a couple of years close to one of the company's factories - no better word for it - and the stink every now and then was _atrocious._ Considering I also grew up in a town with a slaughterhouse and never ever smelled anything like that in all those years of growing up, it left me extremely suspicious of that company's practices.

It use to be my hugest problem with kfc was the order getting screwed up. It might be pandemic related but their quality was down for a while. My last 3 orders gave been much better

KFC is in Estonia, and I've only had it like once, on its opening day; the line was murder and I had to wait like an hour to get seated. It was really meh, gotta say. Chicken flavour was whatever, I don't think the "secret" herbs and spices did much, and the fries were sad. Besides, KFC to a lot of people is what American KFC is, which includes mashed potatoes, gravy and coleslaw, while the rest of the world gets the regular fast food sides. It's just not the same. KFC should just get phased out or get a new owner - one who would improve the quality of the product and make it more consistent.

It's always a joy and delight to watch Kush in action - the way he thinks is amazing. I did not see the tossing of fries into the spinach, combining those two things would never have occurred to me which is why he's the chef and I'm a lowly normal. 😉Perhaps as others have suggested Taco Bell? It would be super interesting to see how Kush approaches making anything from their menu gourmet.

I love how confident Kush became in front of camera. He used to shy away at first but look at him now. Marvelous>

I like watching these kinds of videos to see how much someone could change already cooked food, even if that food was prepared somewhat poorly.

Happy to see Kush and Baz cooking together in the kitchen, especially considering how much he slags him off for the camera!😂 If Jamie was there with them it would be the Sorted Food Roast of Barry!😥 Actually, what a lovely little play on words for a cooking show!

This was fun! I loved watching Kush treat Barry as a sous. You earned the apron now prove you can excel at it mate.

As soon as Kush said pasta I thought he was going to make some kind of gnocchi with fries and chicken skin, but he clearly forgot about the fries completely and just chucked them into the sauce at the end.

Kush is so great! I might even have stayed on working in kitchens if he was the chef... It seems like you could burn down the entire kitchen and it'd be alright because he could whip up dinner for a table of 60 from a bottle of Fanta and some pocket fluff 😄

Kush's little angry voice when he said "Tidy up!' is actually *MUCH* scarier than whenever the guys scream at each others!

This was so fun to watch. They work so well together! I love how Kush takes the time to teach Barry and doesn't seem to feel the pressure of time.

I would like to see a chef versus chef battle (Ben against Kush) in creating a fast food meal into something "gourmet". I feel that Ben would be more challenged, but I would gladly be proved wrong.

When he can explain what he is doing and thinking, whilst actually doing it, shows how talented he is. Thats why I would love to see one of those "chef versus chef" battles, to see the totally different approchaes Ben and Kush have.

I love it that Kush is ready to swap out Barry for Jamie within seconds of the video starting !

Definitely want this series to continue. I’d like to see the dish tasted by the others without context though. It’s always hilarious seeing their reactions.

I love how "you can do whatever you want" gets immediately translated to "I can order Barry around" in Kush's brain 😂 And how he starts explaining _how_ to order Barry around when asked what's going on in his mind 😂 I love Kush's weird brain!

Also, I'd love to see Kush be in a "$150 cook off" challange like you had before. See what he comes up with on his own.

Every time Kush gets one of these challenges, his first instinct is to stick everything in a blender. Sensing a theme here. XD
