I'm used to seeing moldy cans, dirty cans, cans with dead bugs on them etc. Some of these cans just get wiped down and put back up on the shelf depending on the store you go to. So you can't blame me for making it a habit to clean the tops and also recommending others to do the same lol Also, I'm sure if you saw me clean off any of the above mentioned things and then offered you that same can, I would think most people would decline because that's gross af😂

I had a neighbor once who put Nox on a minivan. He forgot to purge the lines and ended up blowing the engine. Funny stuff.
Didn’t give that first fiero a long enough take off ramp. The suspension didn’t have any time to settle so as soon as the front wheels left the ramp the wheels were rebounding downward sending it forward as well the rear suspension doing the same as the weight transfers and pushing it even harder into a front flip. I think with a longer, less steep take off ramp it would be plausible without a submerged platform

it actually makes a ton of sense that the toilet seat is technically the cleanest household object. it's sort of like survivorship bias. since people would tend to think of their toilet seat as being the dirtiest thing in the house, it likely gets cleaned a lot more often than other objects which people don't actually consider dirty, or don't touch often enough or long enough to consider that they'd pick up many germs. that being said, i always wash my hands after touching money, regularly clean my keyboards and device screens, and i hope everyone else does too!

I'm super glad I've been habitually washing EVERY CAN, including food cans, with soap and very hot water for no less than 30 seconds for the last 20 years. It just always seemed like a good idea and never thought about rat contamination. Also, "we need this little engine to go as fast as we can make it go. So we gave it nitrous." Yup! That will definitely help!

It's bad they didn't notice that,in the movie the car goes down a bit before jumping the pond so it means the ramp was kind of inverted sort of. Sort of like downhill with a bump but close to the water, that's why the car lands with the rear wheels on the water and it acts like a flat rock skipped

They probably cut off the throttle at the first jump of the car.. If they'd watched Colin McRae Rally Lectures, they'd know that to let the car not nose-dive, you gotta use throttle for the wheels to keep rotating in order to use gyroscopic effect.

I unintentionally jumped one of my Fieros years ago. Misjudged the road conditions. Lol. Small jump, but it landed fine. Kept the throttle pegged. No major nose dive.
How do you scale gravity and air density?
I don’t know what Jesse was talking about, an 85 Pontiac fiero with a 3800 GM engine is pretty dang fast considering the car weighs nothing.
5:00 lmao
The car has to be on a plane to skim the water . Which means evenly distributing the transition from road to water as flat as possible . Of course it’s not gonna skim if it’s on a ramp whereas the car will nosedive and hit the water like concrete .
Mythbusters have their own KZread Channel; how did I not know this for years?

43:12 Oooooh, really bad thing to do! If that remote controlled steering happens to move, that right arm is not going to like it! In fact, it could easily break it, depending on the torque of the motor.

Nos completely unnecessary. Well done guys. Keeping it Mythbuster
Soda cans? What a waste of aluminum on packing just a single glass of water, sugar water or whatever for a person to drink.
On the car slip it depends, every hydroplaning is infact a car skipping on water. Distance, speed and angles are key to if it will work.
one of the many great things about this show was how often they went to the public to help on the myths . some of my germaphobe friends were a big creeped out on this one but oh well as for the skipping car loved it an from the looks on torie grant an jessi faces they did to rest in power sir Grant Imahara and RIP lady Jessi Combs . it would be great if mythbusters received a star on the hollywood walk of fame . i look forward to more full episode's an i posted this in the facebook groups . .
You might stay dry skipping a car over a lake, but it's highly unlikely your spine and neck will remain intact. One of the drivers for First Blood broke his back jumping railroad track for the move, and he only went about 10 feet in the air.
A late uncle of mine worked in a biscuit/cookie factory, he worked nights on maintenance of the factories machinery. He turned me off biscuit/cookie for life after he informed me the factory was plagued by both rats and mice in large numbers. Their droppings of solid waste was just brushed of the biscuit/cookie but he never mentioned their water wate production. Many food factories are plagued by rodents and flies when there's no staff on site and we get to consume these products daily.

Also I'm wondering about airfoil on the fiero, which the lambo SX crew may have also tweaked and optimized for the movie. That would not only weigh down the rear properly but keep it down after launch so it could touch down nicely at the rear. All told, there were many ways they could have better approximated the movie setup. That said, this episode really brought home to me what I never fully appreciated when I saw the originals: the mad skills of the MB team. Jessie's NOx mod was bordering on rocket-science.
