Camping @ the Texas Renaissance Festival

A look into how to set up camp at the Texas Renaissance Festival. This is how we set up our tent and our camping area when we stay at Faire. We camp in the quiet area between the craziness of bonfire and the back gate. We like to be somewhere in the middle. Here is our TRF camping adventure!

I like your videos. When I was much younger and going with my group of friends, we only did day trips. I didn't realize I had missed out on so much. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much! We do mainly day trips too, but we try to do one camping weekend each year for fun. It’s definitely a memorable experience!

LOL...you guys have the same tent I do. I love those new designs that just fold out, not the collapsing sticks kind! I'll say HI should our paths ever cross. I'll be out there for Celtic Christmas for sure!

Because we are trying to improve on our videos, those who gave it a thumbs down, is it because you wanted to see bonfire? As a disclaimer, we stay away from that area because it’s a bit more party centered.

It can be when done with the right people the right way. Which to us means with our friends at their houses, playing board games, or watching movies, or at our home where we can stay overnight and relax. We are much more family centered now and want to keep the vlog that way. 😉 Just who we are. We know everyone has their preferences.

So many tips! Watch all of our camping videos for tips, but the biggest one is camp in quiet camping area for the best experience. Buy your camping pass online before you go for extra convenience. Bring a heater buddy if it’s a cold weekend (always check the weather first!), bring lots of water, firewood & fire pit, get a good air mattress, and camping lanterns. Hopefully this helps! Loads more tips and ideas on our videos!

For safety and privacy reasons we don’t give out our location. And in the Houston area there are about 200 neighborhoods that look just alike, haha! Must be all the same builders!

That would be brutal trying to camp and then all that smoke blowing into your tent. Wood smoke is extremely toxic

Eek! If the wind had been carrying it into our tents we definitely would’ve been in trouble! So glad it wasn’t. I’ve had that happen before and it’s not good! This time it was all good!
