Nice one as always Liam ,i have camped dozens of times just a few yards away from Higher shelf stones Trig but never that spot you chose. Bleaklow summit always has strong winds even in summer whenever we get one of those 🙄 i will give your mate a sub cheers and ATB 👍

Thanks for watching mate… First time up Bleaklow for me so I didn’t have a clue where would be best to camp, we found some rocks further up towards the summit but the wind was quite strong and wasn’t sure about the Lanshan tents so dropped down a little bit and found them rocks.

@@GoodBlokeOutdoors the best spot i found was just below the summit of Bleaklow stones, facing towards Holmfirth - it was a great little spot, not really affected by the wind, the biggest problem there is the lack of water - but if your just going for a one-nighter you can take plenty for your grub and some brews - cheers mate !

Its definitely bleak on bleaklow in the clag, it does add to the atmosphere when visiting over exposed though. Sadly, theres far more than 13 people who lost their lives on bleaklow, theres also a Lancaster, Bolton Paul defiant, Blackburn botha and other planes that have crashed up there.. nice video Liam, bleaklow is a lot quieter than kinder for camping 👍🏻 anyway, never mind camping, get watching more of my star wars figure videos 🤣

@@GoodBlokeOutdoors there is I small debris pool and a memorial plaque for the Lancaster not too far from over exposed, the rest have very minimal wreckage left, just small bits and pieces and quite hard to find. There are 3 books on all the aircraft wrecks in the peak district, they sell them at the visitor centre in edale or you can get them online. Have you seen my video on the sabre jets that crashed over kinder and ended up in ashop Clough?

Have you done the Lyke Wake Walk? I can't find a vlog but you've done so many I might have missed it. I always found that the Peak District was more claggy than the North York Moors.

People get lost as they do not know how to navigate and do not have a map and compass, not because of the clagg! I ahem been up there lots of times, and on Kinder, in 100% low cloud and never got lost! You went a difficult way to get to Over Exposed!
