My parents used to take me there 50 years ago and the creek was full of trout! Great memories, I lived in California in 35 years so it's been a while!
I remember when I had 33 on my truck.. now I have 37 makes it so much easier to get around. Just make sure to change your gear and suspension. This creek is better then cleg horn 👍
Take 1N09 sometime. You can go to the Santa Ana River from the 330. There is a yellow post camp at Clark's Ranch. Bears, Mt Lions, bobcats, badgers & ringtail cats (sometimes). Fish in the Santa Ana & Bear Creek.

This builder is one of the most attentive to detail I've seen. Reminds me of the NJ builder. VERY nice work. Mark (Aussie) built out his tight like this one (with the Happijac) and from his pics you couldn't tell it was in a van.
Awesome! Thanks to you found the next spot to take my family out. Keep up the good work brother.

I live in So. Utah near the local mountains. Videos have ruined them for the locals. Every weekend we get thousands of Vegas people who have watched a video about Duck Creek. Now our beautiful mountains are covered with the dust of side X sides and 4 wheelers. I'm thinking of moving farther north in the state to get away from all of them.
Awesome video.
Great video dude, love how you are candid about gear. Also stop breaking drones!!!!

I've been planning to go back that way for awhile, but not sure if my puny Subaru will make it. Think there's enough clearance for one to make it through?
One-day ill have the courage and the balls to go camping by myself in my TACO. Good video brother

@sleeks9939 I'm from NorCal but I'm always down for adventures outdoor with nature is my life.
Been wanting to go there for years. Stick with what you know.
This area is currently closed because of a local fire. But last time I went, my CVT in my 2019 Subaru Forester overheated. Plus ground clearance is an issue for lifted Subarus.😒. I only made it because I had my winch to help me in some portions of the trail.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, we haven’t been to Lytle creek since my wife and I were newlyweds before kids, our kids are in their thirties now so it’s been a long time. I know they closed the trail for a while and then we kinda forgot about it. Can you still travel the trail with just a two wheel drive truck? I have a Z71 Colorado.

Little 33 tires 😣. As I plan to upgrade my 265 to 285s
@alpinetactics
8 күн бұрын
@@DUSTYINTHEWILD I shouldn’t have said little. 33s are really the perfect tire size. They give you enough clearance to go everywhere and they don’t put too much stress on the vehicle.
can a 2wd head up there?
I live close to there. If you camp overnight you shouldn't/can't have a campfire unless it's an official space with a fire ring I thought?....

Nice video but man all these videos with the locations just ruin these spots for everyone. Three of my favorite places have become swarmed with overlanders because of youtube videos when 5 years ago you would rarely see one other person up there. Food for thought

Thanks for watching! I usually don’t include location info unless the location like this one is already all over the place. After doing this for several years and weighing the decision that’s just where I landed on the topic.

Ruins it for everyone, aka ruins it for the select few that’s wanted to keep public land from others.
@thebassclef007
10 күн бұрын
@@cassysamel3914 it also literally ruins it though, because so many people are stupid assholes now with no respect, and it doesn’t take long for the good spots like this to get vandalized, trashed, and treaded hard until the forest service eventually closes them and the trails down too. I’ve seen it again and again living in the SB mtns for 40 years.
