Yes you're right ! i buyed this one yesterday and yes ,batterie is not good ....3/4 hours of charge and after 15 minutes the light is so low...me also i have to change batterie .

The modification I suggested does not include a capacitor. Are you referring to the original circuit of the Lantern? If the 400V capacity polystyrene capacitor is blowing, it could be a short somewhere. If the electrolytic capacitor is blowing, may be the LEDs have become defective or the wires going to the LEDs are broken. You have to check the circuit - individually make sure all LEDs are OK, make sure there are no broken wires or shorts - etc.
