I went to The Cowboy Dinner Tree some twenty years ago. For those that don't know, it is literally a shack out in the middle of nowhere in Central Oregon where they serve up the biggest hunk of steak you've ever seen in your life. Amazing experience!

There is a place down in Central California. Jocko's in Nipomo CA. Similar, no reservations, first come first served. An old adobe building. It used to be a stage coach stop. Bar in the middle and two dining rooms on each side. You look out the back windows and see your steaks being cooked on an open oak fire pit.

It's a very nice place. Steak for breakfast is good. Steak is more delicious when grilled on an iron plate than over an open fire. I also uploaded a video of eating steak at car camp the other day. 素敵な動画ありがとう!

Steak and eggs is always breakfast! I might be biased, though. Here in the Northwest Territories we only really have pine and Spruce to burn. I've starting using bbq charcoal, and it was a game changer! Loving the van. Looking at building something up to explore the NWT and Yukon, and to bug out with during wildfire evacuations. Take care.

As I sit here within these four walls, microwave burrito in hand, watching you fry up a breakfast worth envy, I hear my grandpa instructing me on making breakfast his way: “Son, cook the bacon for grease for the taters, and your eggs last. If’n none of that beans’ll do.” 😄 Before he settled down he was a hobo. He rode the rails between western Kansas and California, and north to Oregon and Washington, during the Great Depression into the late 1930s. Right now I’d rather your way or his instead of these four walls! Thanks again for another magnificent piece of content. Enjoy!

So wonderful to see your adventures. Great to see Megan. The van I’m building is quite similar to hers (E350 extended high top with 7.3). I hope her engine hiccups are all sorted out. Luckily there is a great mechanic here in Vancouver BC who does great work on all things Econoline and especially Powerstroke engines, should you ever be travelling this way. LOLE Offroad is his channel and is highly recommended as a mechanic and great person. Love your videos. Cheers from Vancouver Island.
