At about 12 minutes and 10 seconds into this video you mentioned the bathrooms. I was one of the contractors that redid those about 4 years ago and I really hope that they're still as solid as they were when I left. One of my favorite parks 🇺🇸💪🤙

@@Jonesin2Go glad to know. It was a great project. The county workers that maintain all the parks on the island are great. For future reference I was notified that on Friday morning at 7:00 eastern time you can go to the website and start refreshing and there will be a lottery of sites that become available.

My wife and I are Orlando residence and we started looking last night and we got two nights in a row for Easter weekend on the water with no issues, super excited thanks for sharing your video is very good

Enjoy.. our last stay in December was on a water site. we loved being able to launch the kayak right from our site.

love how the campground allows for a lot of privacy. We typically do dispersed camping for that specific reason.

Ft. DeSoto campground sites are spacious. I camped there this week but I used only a corner of this huge campsite since I have a tent. Thanks for a nice overview. 👍

Great video. We recently got invited by a family to camp with them at Desoto. Looks like a nice spot and like there is privacy between camp spots. I prefer dispersed camping but this will work.

Great video guys I heard you say you're from Ohio. I'm in Sylvania Ohio. We were there this year in March. We a fifth wheel the same size as yours. We were staying in Treasure Island in a time share and drove down to check it out with a drive through. Look like it would be nice to stay.

Hey Kevin and Kim thanks for watching,and taking time to leave a comment. Yes I actually have to climb up there to put the camera in its mount. We get alot of similar comments about the camera on the top. We will be leaving for Virginia on Wednesday so we should have another campground review coming out soon. Safe travels.

We have stayed in area 1 which says it's for tents and pop-ups. Our 25' fit fine on our waterfront site in area one, 3 years ago. Anyhow we booked site 4 for this year, but just upgraded our camper to 31'. Any thoughts on making it fit? the park office said "no" when I called. I feel like there is more room.

They are smaller sites in that area. It would be really tight to try to get a 31' in there. Regardless of your willingness to try I would guess the park is not even going to alow you to try.

So now it’s automated parking, there isn’t anyone at the gate now.

They used to let you go back to the beach if you showed them your reservation and you could hang out there until check in time. We are going later this month,I guess I will find out. Thanks again
