I’m from Fresno and my family camps in Dinky every single summer (ever since I was born!) At 8:00, the benches outside the Dinkey Inn are in honor of my cousin Christopher. We know the owners VERY well and they agreed to keep them there if we had them made. So glad you enjoyed the trip.. this video was literally like watching you visit and enjoy my home!!

The stacked rocks are called cairns. They are placed by other hikers to mark the trail.

I always have a hard time when my camping trips are over. It is so much fun to prep and plan a trip then sad when its done. Love that you two got to get out and experience some trees, mountains and fresh air. It is something that I can take for granted living in Idaho we have lots of open space. Being in the mountains always refreshes my soul. Thanks for sharing your trip. Also love Bialetti coffee maker makes the best at home or at camp espresso!

I just binged watch all your sequoia/kings vlogs because its so cool to see more of the area right after I also came from there for the 4th of July weekend too! I wish i had more time to spend there so i definitely feel your pain about packing up to go back home. I also vlog while i was there, and now im excited to post about it soon! (Just need to redo and clean up my channel a bit 😅)

Thank you for this series! I’m going with some friends in a month and we’re planning out our trip. Just curious, how bad were the bathrooms at sequoia? And what did you do about the showers being closed? My boyfriend is very concerned and is wanting a cabin for these reasons.

The bathrooms when we camped at sentinel campground were nice they had flush toilets! The pit toilets were very smelly but they had people coming by cleaning them multiple times a day and I don’t think the showers were closed?! They had showers at the visitors center I’m pretty sure!

Great video, how did you make reservations, online or by phone? Going to be in the area in a few weeks and was thinking about staying overnight in one of the camp grounds in Kings Canyon. Thanks again.
