    Good review. What do you think its bass will perform with more bass type of music such as pop, kpop? Does it have enough quantity, impact? Thanks.

    Sort of stumbled and pondering into this campfire while looking for an upgrade from etymotic ER4XR. I am looking for more imaging while preserving the same tuning signature of etymotic, do you think this would be the best Kilobuck option?

  • @Precogvision

    It’s tuned completely differently from the ER4XR, but yea, it definitely has better imaging

    Hey man! Great review! I see u have the solaris 2020 as well... please compare it to that too because I’ve bought the solaris but never heard the andros and i want to know what it sounds like in comparison to the solaris... I will be obliged if u compare these two😃

  • @Precogvision

    Yeah, for sure man. Probably won't get around to a video, but I can break it down for you. The Solaris 2020 is more V-shaped compared to the Andro 2020 which is more U-shaped. So Andro 2020 if you want something more laidback, Solaris 2002 for something more fun. Bass on the Solaris 2020 has more slam and quantity, midrange has some more bloat, and the treble is sparklier. It's the better pick if you're into the whole "musical" thing. Intangibly, the Solaris 2020 has more holographic imaging, while the Andro 2020 has better layering, positional cues, and resolution. Hope this helps!

    @@Precogvision also i would like to know that does it make a difference in sound quality if i go balanced on the solaris? I have the Fiio btr5 and am thinking of getting a balanced cable... I’ve never tried balanced before, so pls tell me if there are any advantages to the sound quality except for the power and the lower noise... thanks!

    @@Precogvision Thank you for your response! I am thinking about upgrading or sidegrading to new iems from 64audio's u12 APEX version. I am considering either 64audio's Nio, 64audio's u12t, Sony's 1ER-Z1R, or Unique Melody's Mest (universal version). I have medium-sized ears and usually use small ear tips so I am not sure if the Sony iems would fit. Out of the iems listed, if you listened to them, do you think any of these would be worth buying from my current iems?

  • @Precogvision

    @Precogvision

    3 жыл бұрын

    U12t’s probably not worth the upgrade from what I understand, as you’re basically just getting a tia driver for extra extension in the highs. The Z1R would be my top pick *if* you can fit it, although I wouldn’t necessarily consider it an upgrade from the U12t. It’s more a complement than anything. Nio’s not as technically competent as the other two, but it has a really smooth sound signature that I enjoy plus you can play around with the modules to find your desired bass quantity. Really, at this price point, it mainly comes down to what you’re looking for specifically; your personal preferences. While I haven’t heard the MEST, I’ve heard good things from my buddies. All the IEMs you’ve listed are excellent haha.
