Excellent camping adventure! Re the shower curtain, a tip I've used in domestic setting was weigh down the bottom of the curtain by tying stones in the fabric

Two suggestions about the shower; either magnets around the edge of the curtain to 'clamp' it to the doors either side, or use some curtain wire to try and keep it in position, and, as I've just suggested to David, some of those perforated interlocking plastic mat tiles under the shower, to keep your tootsies out of the mud! :-)

Two boat tubers go van camping together and end up at Billing Aquadrome campground ‘moored’ next to a marina on the (non-CRT) Nene River. Why does that make too much sense?

Hi Lorna...l had a mooring at Billing Aquadrome for 5 or so years. Not a good mooring at all really. The camping site is also not very safe.

Washing line pegs or Velcro to help keep the shower curtain in place?

My Mrs made some of off heavy felt, with strong magnets around the outer shape, much work, but they are a treat! Have fun and happy camping! :-D

Wonder if that miniature ride-on train has any actual steam locomotives or if they would all be internal combustion or propane? Haven't found that yet but have found that train track train circles all around the lake, as of last time Google Maps satellite view was updated.

Still haven't found answer to that question but did find the adult fare to ride train is 2 GBP; yeah, I could afford that on Social Security Disability income, depending on how much the gas/petrol would cost to drive my old Dodge Caravan from Kansas City to Northampton.

@@lornajaneadventures Found the basic info on a UK website named Miniature Railway World. The US style 2-8-0 used there has a diesel-hydraulic drive system, fairly common in miniature and park trains, even those which have bodies looking like steam locomotives. It was built by a well known UK firm named Severn Lamb who began in 1947 and currently builds products ranging from miniature park trains to city trams. Quoting a bit from the MRW website, "Trains are operated by a Severn Lamb Rio Grande locomotive, previously based at Cleethorpes and Windmill Farm Railways."

Don’t know why, but while searching how to clean hot tubs, this video keeps coming up, so I’ve had no choice but to watch it, thought you nicking Dave’s clothes and towel funny, hope they where 🧼 clean, might have been funnier if you’d tied his zip closed, or a cup of ice cold water over the top of the open top shower tent 🏕 😂😂👍

Hi Lorna, good to see you out & about in the camper. Regarding the shower curtain, I stopped mine flapping about by using clamp on tarp eyelets and pegged it down. I also fitted an extra magnet at the bottom of the door & doubled up the curtain. It worked great, check it out on my latest vid.

Tooting your own horn there, eh? :) Hang some small weights (tablecloth weights for outdoor use) on the shower curtain, it should help keep it away when showering.

Am I alone in saying that you and David have great chemistry (together)? Seems to me you and he are at least friends with benefits! Well I think all three of us are correct: In most of Northamptonshire it is usually pronounced Nen (- as in hen) but around Peterborough, and further east, it is pronounced more like its current spelling as Neen (- as in bean).

Very opportune time for you to be at Billings. It's usually rammed, peeps everywhere. I cruise past there twice a year through 37 of the big guillotine locks, which have been known to make me cry with fear at the deeper locks. Great vlog. Love your van Lorna and your lovely shorts 😀
