CLARIFICATION
The two yellow bins were contaminated
under ‘Surveillance Devices Act 2007 (NSW) SECTION 8’ I have a right to upload videos publicly taken on public property if the driver has granted to have their voice in the video and their face or not.     I just can’t believe it’s 2021 and recycling is going to landfill for many previous years we where going forward in recycling but the last 5 year been heading backwards

    They have no where to take the recycling as China has stopped imports so there is no point for two trucks

    @@Tom22Lr It gets either sorted or just straight dumped into landfill. Sorting does not mean it will get recycled though, only good quality recyclables are recycled, the rest like most of the plastics and the paper (especially when it was compacted together with glass shards) has no real value so the bales will get stored or dumped. I‘m guessing around maybe 20% recycling from commingled recycling bins at maximum will actually get recycled nowadays. With dual stream it‘s a different percentage because the paper is collected separate from glass and bottles meaning it has better quality and therefore a higher chance to actually get recycled.

    @@laurin4339 yeh like tin cans and that are easy to recycle and they can make pretty easy value from aluminium and steel plastic glass and paper is a lower price if not nothing per ton
