Camp Snap Camera HANDS ON
I've been trying out the Camp Snap digital camera for the past few weeks. It's a neat little contraption. The body looks like a disposable film camera you may have seen in a gas station two decades ago, but with a modern digital twist!
Thanks for viewing!

This is the best video I’ve seen on this little camera. I’ve just bought one. To me, the limitations are what makes it appealing. I believe working within limitations promotes creativity. I’m looking forward to shooting with mine.
I heard about this camera for the first time a few weeks ago. I like the concept.
The only thing that drives me insane about the Camp Snap is the super slow processing times from when you press the shutter to when it takes the picture. I miss nearly every photo because it doesn't "snap" the photo when you press the button, it's always late. I hope they can fix this with firmware...
I'm the target demographic. A parent an elementary age kid who wants something simple for her to use without worrying about it getting busted. She uses my lumix lx3 a fair bit, and is quite careful, but I'm not letting her toss that in backpack riding bikes around the neighborhood. lol. The mention on the site that they made these because a lot of summer camps have a "no digital screens" rule and it was an issue with finding a digital camera to send along. And then I can do a photo dump and some simple cropping and simple adjustments will make it super easy as a dad. Great vid. Good discussion of the pros and cons. I definitely have heard there's rolling shutter issues if you don't wait for that digital shutter sound, though.
Love the concept as I feel it would be a good alternative to staring at my phone all the time when out with my kids.. but think I need it to be a little bit better quality wise when I'm relying on it so much. But hey that's just me. Maybe I'll wait for the 2.0 😅
that's crazy we talked about something like this and it finally hit the market. you put me on Matt! 🫡
Definitely looking forward to getting this! It sounds perfect for those times I'd be afraid to bring a better camera with me.
It's as if Zenit made a digital camera.
Is anyone trying to sell theirs? I’d love to get it for cheaper than $70
i wish the frame counter was not right below the viewfinder, it blinds me. also if the lens was more towards the center of the camera so my fingers have more space.
First time watching a review with exposed nip 😂 Thanks for your thoughts, waiting on my camera, can't wait for no BS pictures
Great video Matt, as always, Saw that camera online several moths ago, thought about picking one up, but decided my digicam collection was too big,, Interesting concept, would have like to see maybe some screw on filters or special artsy lens. For the price it seems a little high, but understandable.
Ordered one! Great review!
you mentioned you just kinda kept it on the whole day which is pretty awesome especially due to the cold weather. how long did the battery last?
I think if this came out 15-20 years ago, I'd see the appeal. I struggle a little with any reason to choose this over a 50.00 point and shoot off craigslist or marketplace.
Interesting Review (as usual) but in fact, this is just a toy camera that tries to create a mix of experiences between analog photography and photography with digicams. It reminds me of some of the first digital cameras from the 90s that didn't have an LCD or even a remake of the Holga Digital. Better to rescue some vintage digital equipment with a CCD sensor from the drawer and get more interesting results without harming the environment with more plastic.
What camera are you referencing at
confused why cant u just delete the photos off the sd card after its on ur computer and reuse it?
Truly awful looking photos. Disposable cameras look way better. Buy a 20 year old digicam and get way better photos
