Camino Frances: Navarette to Burgos (Camino de Santiago)
Part 3: Walk with us on the Camino Frances as we leave Navarette, continuing our walk through La Rioja wine country and enter Castilla y León. We visit the medieval towns of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Belorado, and end in Burgos with it's beautiful cathedral. But our favorite part was stumbling on a Summer festival in Azofra.
We started our walk on August 7, 2023 in Le Puy-en-Velay. After spending 28 days walking in France, we arrived at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on September 3rd. From there, we continued on the Camino Frances, arriving in Santiago de Compostela on September 29, 2023.

This is Lainey's second time walking the Camino Frances and Shawn's 4th. We hiked the Via Podiensis, Camino Primitivo, and Camino de Invierno in 2023, the Camino del Norte in 2019, and the Camino Frances in 2017. We packed ultralight bags for all of our journeys.

Well, in less then 100 days (march 16) i'm going on camino starting from my hometown in Belgium...i sure hope my stuff holds up untill i reach Finisterre 😀 Loved watching your video, thanks for sharing.

@@donatasvaisnoras thanks for your reply...i'm a long distance hiker so i'm not to worried about that , i took a 4 month leave of abscence, i have the time to "take my sweet time" and i will 🙂 More "worried" about finfing places to sleep every day in the first part of France

Laney, i am inspired by your minimalist packing style 👍. Im with you...less is best. But, I am curious and need a "look inside my pack" from Shawn. Every video I'm left wondering how he fits another set of clothes and jacket in his waist bag 🤔🤣

That Cirueňa business reminds me of other real estate bubble towns in NV and Asia which started out and finished as empty nothing places. Nice vid quality, btw.

Sounds like your Altra's are breaking within specifications. I actually got a new pair in Burgos by the end the cushioning was knacked. It is frustrating how poorly Altra's hold up whilst being a brilliant shoe when the cushioning is intact.

Yep. They’re good for about 500 miles, which is half the distance we walked. Where did you find your pair in Burgos? I looked and couldn’t find them. Love Altras but hate how badly they break when they do.
