When I was a kid, the small town HS had a horrible football program. The people in the town started a midget football program (5th and 6th graders) to feed the junior high program and then the HS program. 15 years later, the HS was state champions. Building the talent pool does make a difference.

Funny enough as anecdotal evidence about flag football, worst "looking" injury I got as a kid was from flag football because another kid and myself went head to head without helmets and I ended up split open across my forehead and blood poured down and freaked my 8th grade teacher out because I just started walking to the nurse.. that's when my family asked if I really wanted to play football anymore and I quit by the next year.

Probably because Kareem hardly did anything wrong. Yes he made a kicking motion and made contact with the woman. That’s not ok, but he barely touched her and had been harnessed by her repeatedly after finding out she was under age at a party containing alcohol and kicked her out. I don’t support domestic abuse but man imo it’s a stretch on that one.

Let’s get one thing straight. Jerry Jones didn’t make financial provision for the child out of regard for her, he did it to keep the mother silent and himself free of scandal. And we know from other reports in recent years that he’s still a sleaze ball. I don’t think he has any binding agreement with Alexandra Davis whatsoever. If he were on certain ground he wouldn’t be dragging his feet with the DNA test. Good luck to her, I say.

If the NFL charge 100 bucks to watch their games from the comfort of your home and 10 million people bought that package the NFL would make $1 billion. If you divide that by 32 it’s about $31 million each team.

Smart athletes do their best to join the MLB for safety and longevity. Football is brutal on the body and is a last resort for most athletes. There's not many like Mahomes who get multi-million dollar offers from MLB and turn it down to join the NFL. Not to mention, Mahomes, after telling MLB he was going to college to play football and not to waste a draft pick on him, Detroit drafted him anyway in the hopes his father could talk him outta it.

  • @mengshun

Flag football would be an existential threat to the "skilled" positions (as if line play is unskilled, smh). The first to go qould be the QBs and receivers - the conerstones of modern football. They just happen to be the most sensitive positions to the discussion for injuries (they all do but they get the most attention usually). Flag also accentuates the already high premium of these positions, as well as safeties and tightends. Start gutting the NFL from that and eeeschh.. unwatchable football.

If we had video tape of what every NFL player has done in their history, the NFL would have to close up shop. Terrell Suggs punched his girlfriend down in her house while she was holding their infant baby, then poured bleach over both of them. Suggs also punched her while in the car, leaned over and opened the passenger door and pushed her out, she was dragged for over 100 feet. Tyreek Hill was unhappy his girlfriend got pregnant with his baby so he decided to gut punch her in the hopes she would abort the baby. Endless stories like these throughout the NFL, no team is safe from these thugs.
