How bout put a cap on tickets and stadium food n beverages?

  • @yaboisleez

A QB-specific salary cap is a shortsighted fix for the issue here. Just set a maximum salary cap percentage that can be spent on any single player, ie no singular player can account for more than 18 - 20% of the salary cap for a team at any time. It keeps the league from targeting specific player groups and could be sold as a net positive for the rest of the non-qbs in the Player's Union

Your idea is an improvement on a salary cap for qbs and the best way to implement a salary cap. But there has to be a salary cap it's gotten insane. there is no football without special team players, lineman, there is no reason one player gets 800,000 while a bust like Dak gets $60 million.

ALL Salary restrictions: Team Cap., Position Cap., % of Cap., whatever, should be enumerated within the CBA. Only this will remove any whining from anyone, owner or player (regardless of position.)

I have PVCs too. 1 out of 10 Americans have PVC. A lot of times it is unnoticeable. That "heartburn" or "heart attack" feeling is typically due to caffeine. Making your heart work overtime. My doctors recommended cardio exercise in order to strengthen the heart. The fact that you are constantly doing cardio is likely why you are doing so great AND why you never really experienced PVCs until now. Just my two cents. Don't sue me. :-)

As far as exercise goes in your 60s or 70s listen to your body when you exercise. At 35 I could run a 5-minute mile, in my 60s maybe a single 8-minute or higher, I would never push myself to the ragged edge of that midsummer race doing a 5-minute mile in a 5k. You are diminished at those ages if you have a measuring stick to compare and the ragged edge is probably not wise.

Nflpa( guaranteed money is payed to the nflpa UP FRONT and kept in escrow till that year they then give it to the player at the start of the new league year) Again, a lot of ppl know nothing on these subjects but act like they know what's good and what's bad.

But if Brady did prioritise winning over money, that is 100% a good thing. I want my team to win the superbowl. And he'll still have earned lots of money anyway. As much as I hope Anthony Richardson is the answer in Indy…I still say the Colts should’ve tried to go after Lamar

I've never really understood how labor getting together and saying, "no one will work for you for less than this amount" ISN'T collusion, but management getting together and saying, "we'll only pay this much" IS collusion. If these guys (the players) were having to get 2nd jobs so their families could eat, I could understand all the shade you're throwing at the owners, but this is quite obviously not the case. We've arrived at a point where ONE personnel decision can sink a franchise, and if some action isn't taken the league will be in real trouble. I'm not saying a QB cap is that answer, but an answer needs to be found and the owners have every right to discuss it.

If they want to enjoy the benefits of the "equity" then they should be willing to take on part of the debt!! Everyone is making too much money but only a few are holding the responsibility of keeping it all going!

Mike, when asked about which team(s) are poised to this season to get hot, the teams you mentioned are all NFC teams until the end when you haphazardly mentioned the Chiefs. What gives?

No player is worth 60 million a year. No player should make more than 10 million a year period. This is totally ridiculous. There playing a game. If they don't like it don't play.

They need to restructure quarterback contracts by skills you can't have the 15th best quarterback make the most just because he was the last quarterback signed it's absurd.. now every other quarterback that is just as good or worse is it going to get paid more outrageous

I would cap qbs pay at 15% of cap wich goes up every year. They did it with rookie scale contracts

Taking less money isn't cheating anyone. None of those Pats players had to accept lowball offers from Kraft. They could have said no and walked. Every single NFL player ever could have agreed to have been paid less, they CHOSE not to. Talent likes money; you have more to spend and it's more likely to draw talent from the FA pool. Simple math, not cheating. There is no functional difference between 50 and 60 million a year; the only difference is greed. Accept less, build a superteam. A, B, C, 1, 2, 3.

I swear Florio treats the tiniest routine medical matters like he’s some gladiator on the road to Damascus. How many weeks did we have to hear him make excuses cuz he had a colonoscopy?? (I’ve had one and it was nothing) this guy needs to go visit some 3rd world countries and learn what suffering and hardship and grit really are

The infrastructure can be provided WITHOUT THE OWNERS. The players need to create their own "player owned" league. They need to just set it up, not as leverage, BUT AS AN ACTUAL LEAGUE. The owners have no power beyond their money. The players have more than enough money and support from the public.

You know Mike, I NEVER hear you justify why all the money should go to the QB and screw the rest of the players. I know you know there is a salary cap. I also know you know the law of subtraction. So, please spend some time justifying why everyone else should get less because the teams have to overpay the QBs. I would really love to hear your explanation. Again, all the other players with many years of sacrifice and effort to be where they are, are going to be limited all b/c someone is the 'face' of a franchise. That is wrong in my book and I would like to hear why I'm wrong.
