“Thunberg” is an enrapturing exploration of polyrhythms and texture by New Zealand-born, Melbourne-based guitarist/composer Cameron Deyell and Sydney drummer/composer Laurence Pike, who together premiered their potent experimental jazz work Isola at Phoenix earlier this year as part of Season V. They are joined by Jasper Leak, straddles bass and piano.

Live at Phoenix is a live performance film series by Phoenix Central Park capturing stellar performances by exceptional artists. Running in parallel to Phoenix Central Park’s agenda-setting weekly free concerts, the series gives as much voice to the creatives behind the camera as it does the performers themselves. Each episode is a unique pairing of musician and filmmaker, resulting in an elevated performance inspired by the sculptural surrounds of The Nest.
