Merry Christmas Mike. Also wanted to say I had a problem with a Mikuni carb sealing to the rubber grommet.Its old and needs replacing, but I wanted to run the fuel out before putting it away for winter. Would not start because of the vacuum leak. Then it hit me, white lithium grease. Mike always talks about its many uses. Smeared a little on the rubber, put everything back together and it started right up. Love your videos, never miss one. The knowledge you share with us is so valuable. Thank you and I can’t wait for the flathead project to get going again. Joe

Good morning Mr Pacific, Cameraman Mike, hope all is well and Merry Christmas 🎅🏻. Great news. I pulled the 131” from my ‘93 Fatboy and replaced it with a 1996 80” Evo. What a difference! She rides like a cream puff. Installed an Ultima ignition, Mikuni 42, free flowing AC and Vance and Hines big shots and I gotta say, for an all stock motor she has a little giddy up. Of course my Baker 6 speed helps but what a joy to ride now. Rear base gasket weeps and I hate to pull apart a perfect running engine but at 64k maybe a good time for 9.5:1 pistons, still 3.48” and mild bolt in cam like the EV13. I know the consensus is an EV27 but I really wanna keep that stock low down torque. I have a brand new set of S&S travel limited lifters and S&S quickies, I also grab a Torrington. I thought of buying a used pre ‘92 “L” grind police cam but haven’t the experience with any of these cams. I’d like to keep it 80”, do you have a preference for a mild bump in power or do I set her back up at 8.5:1? Maybe a .030 MLS head gasket?

I do use the MLS head gaskets a lot. You like a peppy, well mannered engine? Keep the stock pistons. They are probably perfect at 64M. Freeshen it up by honing the cylinders, reringing, new hydraulic aftermarket good lifters and a Dave Mackie EV500 cam. I'm not trying to push products but you have told me what you want and how you like it. You will now have a very snappy fun Evo.

First of all, thank you so much, I commented on your last video about my front exhaust lifter, bleeding down, this whole time I’ve been fighting the exhaust lifter, but really, the problem was the intake Lifter was in backwards, oil hole facing the wrong way.!!
