You should have seen their concerts if you think their music was the bomb. Hate you are just a youngster, but when these groups were in their prime, NOTHING could touch them. Check out some of the bands live concerts from 1976- 1990. You will definitely feel the grove

this is real funk. I was 27yrs old, and jammin at O'dells in baltimore, Md on North ave. and still jammin today in 2021. Cameo and Larry Blackmon. Pure smooth funk for the 1980's. O'dells you'll know if you belong. was there slogan.

Everyone knows them for their MTV hits, but they are so underrated as their extensive catalog goes largely unexplored by most. I tell my kids if they’re looking for new music to go back in time and listen dont wait for the latest stuff to hit.

Those signature Cameo vocal arrangements get me every time!!

"I've got real strong advice and I'd like to give it to you..." So many great lyrics in this song. LOVE IT! Cameo had the best videos back in the day. All told stories and had great dancers & personality from the band members who were always showcased with solos. Damn, was that hi-top fade high enough, Larry? Love when he holds that note out at the end... "Yes sir!"

That whole Word Up album was a success. I felt that they worked on the other album too soon. The songs from Word Up was getting much air play. The rotation back then was slow.

Cameos songs many of them and mostly all of them for me have stood the test of time. Definitely classic to any genre for me personally. A true Cameo fan and musician wishing to someday have the chance to write and record with Tommy Larry Charles and Nathan. I was born in 71 and by the late 70s into the 80s and still now I have to be the biggest Cameo fan I know. Only attending one of their live concerts In my life i do remember yelling so loudly and so much that they kept looking to my direction in the crowd trying to make out how this person could've known the names the songs and all the things I yelled , no regular fan could've known . Love Yourself. 🕺🌠🎙🎵
