Cambodia Town in Long Beach, California 🇺🇸

Today we will be exploring the Cambodia Town neighborhood of Long Beach, California. This region of Long Beach is home to the largest population of Cambodian people outside of Cambodia. We will also visit a Cambodian restaurant to get our hands on some traditional Cambodian food.

A little before your time though. I’ll always have fond memories of Long Beach. I practically grew up there in the late 70s to mid 80s. Yeah that’s how old I am. 😂. By the way, Good to see Gladys back. And also awesome of you to showcase Cambodia Town. Your lunch looked awesome.

An absolutely wonderful video. In the Bay Area there is a large Cambodian community and they are kind, hard working. hu,ble and gracious. When l lived in Fresno l found out there is also a large Cambodian community - they hold a festival each year , it is educational and the food is absolutely delicious. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into the Cambodian community in Long Beach. I plan on going that way soon, and l will definitely go to Monoram that you went to and l also look forward to going to that very kind lady's business and making some purchases from her. I have so much respect for those who come here with little or nothing, work hard and turn their hardship into a generational blessing for their family and community.

Miss my old home! Grew up there for 33+ years! I remember when Shoreline Village was under developed and the bay (lighthouse region) was a muddy puddle. I use to fly kites there until they built an aquarium. Shoreline was a little magical place for a lot of folks! I love how diverse LBC really is. I wish ppl are more accepting and welcoming of each other, especially in LB. I grew up being hated for being Asian. Which is extremely ridiculous. I had no choice in whatever skin suit I was born into. I can appreciate different cultures. Life is so boring without variety in life, but not everyone is open minded. Glad you’re wiser & above the ridiculous prejudice & societal construct placed on a person. I can tell you that I know Khmer people love you and what you do! We will definitely continue supporting you!! 🎉❤

As a person who was born and raised in Long Beach, you showed and explained everything about this city very accurately, unlike other travel vloggers.

Always like your video Chris. Your clear and knowledgeable presentation always amaze me. Thanks for sharing Chris. Hope you have time to swing by Lowell, Massachusetts the second largest Cambodian town in the US. Here we currently have Cambodian Mayer, city councilors. State representatives, state troopers and city cops you name it.

I used to live in Cambodia Town off of 10th & Orange. Also, lived off of 4th and Cherry in that Neighborhood. Thx for this tour of the LBC. You nailed it on why there's friction with respect to gang violence. It go from zero to 💯 in a moment.

Wow. Good to see you and Gladys in the US. I loved y’all’s videos that was in Cambodia. How was the noodles Nom Ban Chok Gladys had? I’m surprise they served it with the edible flowers and banana blossoms here in the US.
