As a Killer Cam fan i do question his statements on Dak, he kinda trippin right there i watched that game against philly, bruh Dak was tearing Philly's defense to shreds, matter a fact that whole entire Dallas team was destroying Philadelphia, as if the whole entire team just turned into Godzilla & just trampled all over the eagles, they absolutely had no answers on either side on offense or defense, jalen hurts couldn't get anything going, the Dallas defense kept jalen neutralize pretty much the entire game, we'll see where them boys are after they play the bills this week, which Dallas should win just sayin the bills look sketchy as fk in my opinion, hell no i am not a fan of either team, but Dallas is the better team all around

@@chrisalexander1274 no it’s simply not. If Purdy were a game manager Sam Darnold would be the starting QB. Purdy is one of the most accurate passers with the most yards per attempt in the league. He hits guys in incredibly tight windows. I haven’t seen a single QB make the types of throws he seems to make 2-3-4 times/game. No to mention his ability to stay relaxed and accurately assess what the defense is giving him rather than trying to be the hero. If that’s a 4 yard pass that usually leads to another 3-8 after the catch or it’s a dot between two defenders 20 yards down the field or leading his Receiver away from the defense on a 40 yard pass, or dropping the ball right in the bucket of the receiver after they’ve burned the defense he can do it all and has done it consistently. No one in the league is matching him this year.

@@RelixYBit depends on what you choose to call a great quarterback. Good teams always try to surround their quarterback with great weapons. Stafford had a hall of fame WR..... nothing. You see great quarterbacks that end in the hall of fame have one MAJOR thing in common.... CONSISTENCY. That is what really separates good QBs from potential HoF QB. Why does Purdy actually stick out? It's because nobody expected the consistency. Nearly every person had some expectation of a flash in the pan situation.... but he just keeps performing so far. The exact dame thing that Brady did... and once a coach sees the intangibles in action, the preparation, competitive mindset AND consistent above expectation play its the QB a franchise hooks its wagon to. The precision, efficient reads and most overlooked THE FOOTWORK are things that are very very hard skills to coach and that have LOOK AT THE TAPE got better and better from an already ahead of the average starting point.

I have watched a lot of SF football, 12 since 76. Brock Purdy is winning games in the same way Montana and Young did. First off, he is making the correct defense reads pre-snap and his audibles have been spot on. His ball placement is nearly always where his playmaker can catch it. His pocket presence and awareness is spot on. These are the same things that made Montana and Young Super Bowl winners.

I've been a 49er fan since the end of the Montana era. Purdy is throwing the ball downfield in ways that I haven't seen since Steve Young. He throws with amazing accuracy, but what sets him apart is his anticipation. He is always throwing the ball before the receiver makes his cut, and he often throws to guys who aren't the primary target (that bomb to Deebo) because in his reads he sees the safety flat footed. He is always pushing the ball down field. People who doubt him at this point just look petty and stupid. Purdy is making passing plays Cam never could and it pisses him off.

While Purdy is playing phenomenally for someone that was the last pick in the draft, lets not act like he is the the of player that lifts and elevates the level of play around him, for Pursy its the opposite his playmakers lift him up. He is doing phenomenal and you cant take that away, but take away Deebo and Trent Williams what do you have? You have a three game losing streak, see what I mean. Yall are rightfully excited about Purdy and you should be, but he isnt an MVP he is very good. Dak was a game manager when Kellen Moore or Jason Garrett was his playcaller, but under McCarthy calling the offense and letting Dak loose and “letting Dak cook”, this season he is anything but. Since their week 5 as* whooping from SF, they completely altered their offense from vanilla, underneath safe throw, run game orientated offense to an offense that now leads the league in pre-snap motion, downfield throwing pct.%, and as Aaron Rodgers said is not just playing QB, he is mastering QB play and is his favorite QB in the NFL other than hisself of course, Dak’s play unlike Purdy is not being elevated by other potential MVP’s like Deebo, McCaffrey, Williams, Kittle, Aiyuk, Dak is elevating the play of those around his, hallmarks of an MVP. People dont want to admit it because he is a Cowboy, but put Dak on any other team with this kind of Play and he would be considered the runaway favorite for MVP, the only thing keeping it close with Purdy is actual negative bias against the Cowboys. Dak is this seasons best Quarterback without a question, period.

This whole Purdy conversation is honestly so exhausting. We had the same weapons for the last 2-3 years give or take a few players here and there. And we could not seem to win any games with any other qb that stepped in. Even our 3rd round pick. The only other one that was winning games was Jimmy and lets be real. We weren't blowing teams out like Purdy can. He struggled in the red zone. Purdy never does. And our defense won us alot of games. Purdy is throwing 3-4 touchdowns a game. Thats great. A great team has nothing to do with Purdys ability to process in the pocket or throw accurate passes. Cam is 5 inches taller than purdy and 40 pounds heavier and was the first pick in the draft. I cant even imagine how insanely better Purdy would be if he was Cam's height. WHO GIVES A FLIP? He's a WR on the fins. Point blank. Can't take away from all these guys really stepping up as a leader. I talked smack about Dak a lot and he's improved massively. Jared Goff? Cam Newton is the reason no team wants Cam Newton on their team. He's a Drama Queen and no coach wants that in their locker room, especially at backup qb. All the NFL players that behave like this have shorter careers, once they start to loose the Superstar ability no one wants to touch them. T.O. Is a great example of this, he could of played years longer and was still good, but he's poisonous to all around him.

Cam's got every right to feel the way he does. Dude had a SB stolen from him so Manning could get his retirement trophy. His HC road him till the wheels fell off and never got him a decent LT after Jordan Gross, or any WR's worth anything outside of Ted Ginn, and Smith his first few years. Now the league blacklists him when he is very easily better than most if not all backups and probably a few starters.

Good Coaches adjust to their qb more often then making a qb adjust to them now. The pass game and rule changes have evolved more then defensive strategy. There are only 3 to 5 qbs that you put on any team and they still produce... I don't believe the guys cam mentioned are successful on any team in the league.

What do you call someone that doesn't go for the ball in a Super Bowl? Cam Newton. I wouldn't want him on my team ever again, nor would I play my heart out for a QB that didn't lay it all on the line to win the Super Bowl. That is what ended Cam's career. Patriots needed a filler QB because all they had were rookies. Without wins, the rookies could lose just like he was. Released. No other team would ever consider him after that.

I agree with Cam Newton to an extent to how he was describing what a game manager is. But guys like Brock Purdy. That’s a no. Because, Brock from the gecko since his rookie year last year was playing like a 5th year vet. And he showed a lot of maturity and confidence in his ability to move the ball down the field. And matter of fact. Also he was learning and developing while being a shoulder injury away from playing in the Super Bowl last season. He’s is in the best situation than most quarterbacks in the NFL right now. He got a head coach who is an offensive coach. He got explosive weapons for the running and passing game. And he got a very tough defense who can back him up and give him the ball back just so they can score again. And he is way quicker than Cam at following through his progressions and reading defensive coverages to pick every open area to push the ball down the field.

The "Is Purdy the best QB since Jeff Garcia" question depends on what Alex Smith you're talking about. Harbaughs Smith was him assuming his final form, but we only got that for a year and a half, compared to the 6 other years we had him wondering why we didn't draft Aaron Rodgers (I'm from the same town as Rodgers so it hurt even more). Is Purdy the last SF qb to not bitterly disappoint us since Jeff Garcia, well the answer to that would be a resounding yes.
