Camí de Cavalls +185km Thru-hike: Minorca Travel Guide (Ep5)

The Camí de Cavalls is an ancient path of +185 km (+115 miles) that encircles the island of Menorca, Spain. This long-distance walking route is the GR 223 of the Senderos de Gran Recorrido network in Spain and it is also used to reach some of the most inaccessible beaches of Menorca.
On Episode 5 of the Cami de Cavalls trail covers stages 17-20, starting in Cala en Porter and finishing in Maó(Mahón).
Stage 17 - Cala en Porter to Binissafúller
Stage 18 - Binissafúller to Punta Prima
Stage 19 - Punta Prima to Cala de Sant Esteve
Stage 20 - Cala de Sant Esteve to Maó(Mahón)
Hiking Menorca (Minorca) is one of the absolute best way to explore the island. This is also one of the best thru hikes as it is not too long, and a great way to jump into the fast growing sport. In 5 episodes I will take you around the island to explore some of the most rugged and serene beaches and coastline the Mediterranean has to offer.

We went to Menorca last year and did sections 1 and 2 and 17 and 18. Were going again in September to do a few more sections.Lovely film - well done completing the lot!!
Loved this series. I'm seriously inspired to do it myself sometime. Now I'm looking forward to watching the Camino de Santiago series.

The minorca hike is a great way to get ready for the Camino. I will probably do it again sometime....now looking at the Tour de Mont Blanc loop.

Depends. to do the hike i would suggest before or after summer as there will be less people and not as hot. But high season is definitely summer. Winter is suppose to be quite windy with virtually no tourism. Hope that helps.
