Megatron is unguardable. Only way to stop him is with bad throws and great pass rush or if the QB isn’t seeing him. Kudos to Revis though definitely made him work more than most guys did

I speak for everyone when I say this I like how you include clips where the ball isn’t thrown but still shows the route/coverage downfield thanks NFL Matchup Highlights

Yeah this shit was weak

Darrelle Revis ability to anticipate the ball AND stay in position to have the advantage over a player like Megatron is IMPECCABLE.

The only thing I would change about this video, is maybe consider adding the final stats of the game for the WR at the end of the video. Revis holding Johnson to only 13 yards is pretty incredible.

Revis might not have had as many interceptions as some corners, he was able to line up against some of the biggest threats in the league like Calvin Johnson or Steve Smith and make them ineffective.

See how I said Revis said moss was the best WR he ever played against and didn’t use that line with Deion? I assume Deion said that because Moss was so freakishly more talent than Rice being 6’4 215 lbs , 4.2 -40 speed, 47 inch vertical.

now i want everybody that finished watching this video to sit back and never ever disrespect Revis name again. i think some people forget how raw Revis was, nor having the most interceptions does not make you trash in fact that is still nasty stats because his pass deflections and pass break ups outweighs the less interceptions he has. besides QBs started to stop throwing to his side, that means your a lockdown Elite.

What i like about this is that, Revis ACTUALLY shut him down. On a lot of these videos, its basically QB missing WR everywhere or just not seeing him. But here, Revis just makes play after play oh my lord. That first PBU on the deep pass... insane. No one else makes that play

Bruh! I can’t see how anyone can say he shut him down. He had good positioning to make a play on almost every route, Stafford just did not get him the ball

throw wasn't perfect, he was actually beat and down well to recover. the ball placement is the onlything that helped it be incomplete.

If Stafford had thrown some of these balls on time I think they had chances to be completions. There were some other times throughout the game where Megatron was open but Stafford didn’t see him. NO ONE is shutting down Megatron. Only bad throws/inability to find him when he’s open can do that

Not in that game. Calvin like you sais played injured a lot and was used as a decoy a lot especially later on in his career. But this was one of the few games were he wasn't injured.

Stafford had Megatron open at 4:55, 5:12 and 7:00 against Revis but never t threw it. Revis won on the balls thrown to him but Calvin had some opportunities just wasn’t targeted on those plays 🤷‍♂️

4:55 Revis would have undercut that 5:12 +10yds for CJ 7:00 +3yds He still would've only had a total of 26yds, that's laughable for a WR of his caliber 🔒🗜️

Let's see now. 4 targets. 1 catch, one defensed, an obvious pass interference and what should have been a TD. Not sure Revis got the better of Calvin.
