Patrick Cassidy.... pure genius. A quintessential lamentation, as is the film.

This is my all-time favourite movie. And it made me want to be a priest, which I'm still trying to do. Pray for me, thanks.

+Jordan Calder That's really interesting considering the underlying feeling of "You can't save anyone" of the movie. I guess there are other interpretations to find. Still, you have this jaded atheist's sincerest good wishes :)

Wait a catholic priest? The whole entire message of the movie seemed like he was a good man destroyed by his organization. I understand wanting to be a perish after seeing this movie a bit but Catholic?

my film of 2014 - that this was ignored is proof that the oscars etc know fuck all about good film making.

You are right. There wasn't one even close to it.

I was in Turkey on holidays and watching this when the scene came on and it showed the land I realised how much I adore my home and how connected my soul is to the place.

The bass drum is pure cliff thunder, as the vocals aim for the rocks...

What an incredible piece of music the entire album has. I loved this film and the music is just haunting, sad and so beautiful that it really served the film so well the music alone would get my teary eyed.

I JUST finished watching this film for the first time. This music really put me on a whole new level of emotion. It is hard to see life through someone else's eyes. No one's life is perfect. I recommend checking this film out! Great story!!

Amen to no one's life is perfect. The iconic Baptist minister Charles Spurgeon said hundreds of years ago "few men could read their own autobiographies if all of their life's deeds were included in it." He was...and is...right.

Just because your eyes are open doesnt mean the dream has to end. Live, give, dream and lose yourself from this temporal world.

No me esperaba escuchar una canción en español en una película Irlandesa Subo fue lo mejor que pudieron haber puesto al final de la película. Vi esta película hace casi un año y desde entonces siento que debería ser sacerdote Es curioso como actua Dios

Pat music is very less. Yet the less he does it the more your shall receive. The theme is like gentle sea waves....it pulls you in. Pat is a master at emotions....

Wonderful movie and I don't say that often. Everything about it was so content rich and a wonderful testimony to all involved - script writers, cast, characters, scenery etc etc I'm originally from Rush, couny Dublin where, I believe, the scene towards the end of the film was shot - walking thru village towards the beach. The film has been on sbs movie channel (Australia) celebrating Irish month.

I hear Hans Zimmer (Batman) I hear some of Oblivion. A strange sad peace...a heartfelt peace!

WoW, no he visto esa pelicula....pero esa musica me toque mi corazón y alma y sentí mucha paz enterno...gracias y espero voy encontrar esa paz con una mujer que voy encontrar algun dia...

I love the movie also since the beginning of 2015! What a masterpiece! The music also. This theme is little similar to a Batman Begins theme.

@@irishmorgc9493 I believe it is Irish Gaelic, as opposed to Scotch Gaelic, which is both similar and yet different. I know a bit (actually very little bit) of Irish Gaelic and it certainly sounds like it.

I think Jenny is wrong, with all due respect. I believe the singer is Iarla O'Lionaird, a well known Irish singer, although not well known in my country (US). As far as I know, Patrick Cassidy, as amazing as a composer there is, does not sing.
