I've been dealing with this same thing so intensely. It's held me back from having clarity in my life, with my goals, and has kept me from actively practicing my filmmaking and photography. It doesn't help having ADHD, an already hyperactive mind lol. I love your content man, thank you for this

Man I'm the same. My mind feels like a hamster on a wheel that never stops. I've wondered if I have undiagnosed ADHD, or if I just cant focus because I feel like I have an interest in too many things. Either way, it's held me back for years.

Gosh, I have been wanting to write a comment for a long while. I follow many, individuals on KZread and rarely if at all write my thoughts or opinion cuz at the end of it all we are all strangers, and many just trolls the good. I am in my 50s and I only have a channel not to monetize or to survive but to capture memories for my family. I watch you all great filmmakers to learn and improve, but you Jake, you have something different something very unique to all the others. Your poetry of reality and the openness of your life as you maneuver the world you live in. I have learned a lot more than just photography and filmmaking from you. I have learned even at my age some things I need to change and think about improving with my own maneuvering of life. So thank you keep up the great work and continue to have the time of your life.

I've not forgotten your video where you explained how you moved away from having to have motion in every camera shot and being "ok" with the stillness of a shot and just letting the subject (if any) tell the story. We have utilized this method because of you as well. Such excellent work Jake ~ inspiring man!

I'm here after watching your podcast with Matti H. Really inspiring. I remember your video about Matti ruining your career and identify with a lot of that at the time! I'm sure you've done more with it by now but BRAW is the best feature in blackmagic cameras and super easy to get into. I've been using a P4K for almost two years and haven't tired of it at all. I have upgraded my lenses to Zeiss Milvus superspeeds (which breathed a load of new life into it) but I'm totally sold on BMD for the foreseeable future.

I’ve been learning visual storytelling lately. To be honest, sometimes it’s just so soothing for me to see films like yours which is more haphazard and unplanned. Story is always king but KZread content creator has the freedom to not be all about storytelling. Also nice comprehensive review of Black Magic 6k.

About 1.01 was the moment I felt a swell of emotion. Very powerful filmmaking. Well done. EDIT. Oh I can relate to this exact thing. ADHD and I hadn't gone out and shot for fun at all other than some point and shoot stills for ages and I flew my drone today and got some wicked stuff and practiced on my RS2 and it brought me right back to the here and now. Made me really observe more than I already usually do. Really pay attention.

I think we can all be guilty of our lives being way too noisy and I think it always helps to take a step back to take a breath, and just enjoy time together! Hi Jake, seriously considering this camera. I’m coming from a canon c100ii which has been a great workhorse, but more and more clients want 4K. How do you think it would perform out in the field shooting mtb? You touched on the autofocus-any good? And file size-was it massive, I think I would shoot prores4k like yourself for best workflow. Thanks, keep up the good work 👊

Sometimes it's difficult to have clarity when your brain is running rampant with ideas while also battling the feelings of inadequacy.
