Play Gilmour and Forrest. Idiotic selection last night and sitting so deep and booting the ball up the park... it was shocking. What was the point? We are not good enough defensively to play like that. It's the manner of the performance that is annoying me more than the score.

They were on a different level......... ...... They will be, if you show zero fight, zero passion, zero interest and stand around watching the opposition tear you a new arsehole. I'm 60 plus. Never seen such a piss poor performance by any team, at any time, ever. Shameful and shocking.

Agree with that we were like a pub team on Friday, we qualified with some great wins then when it comes to tournament we go. Absolutely shit. Imo

It was blatantly obvious that Germany were a better team on paper before the game, so therefore why wasn't there any collective pressing from the front from the forward and midfield players making life very uncomfortable for Germany. It was footballing suicide allowing world class players to have time on the ball and express themselves freely. I am glad to hear that Scotland players are repentant about the performance however once again the language is a bout doing justice and being competitive, talk to me about winning matches and winning the tournament having the mentality of Chris Hoy, I don't want be realistic I want to win at all costs in a fair and sporting way. Next two games go out at win them build a massive momentum and at the press conferences talk to me about winning the tournament. If the Greeks can win the Euro's in 2004 why can't Scotland!

The manager did. Saying 4 points was the target says he accepted defeat before a ball was kicked and planned on playing for a draw in one of the games. That’s the thing that annoyed me the most.

I can't shake, it's almost as if they were asked to throw the game. Politics?? I mean we are not elite level, but we are knocking on the door, a little, and if we came out and played what we can do,... they didn't take any chances.... Lol. We've stood off before, but I mean really, with guys that play week in and week out a good level, c'mon man.... I sat for 90mins the other night in a twilight zone, even for us!!

Agreed. Saying 4 points was the target is an absolute disgrace. Scotland have the ability to get 6 points if they just played the way they did in qualifying but instead are aiming for 4. Based on qualifying performance, 4 is a disappointment. I understand recent form but even at that, you should still aim for the maximum points available.

@@cphred like I said. I understand that the recent form has been poor. It does not matter. It’s the same set of players and same manager therefore it is possible either way. We were in terrible form before we went on that amazing run. The bad form has to end at one point. Even at the point that we are on poor form. No manager should EVER say “4 points is the target” ESPECIALLY when we know it’s possible for us to have got 6 points and before the Germany game I would have been aiming for 9 if I’m the manager. Doesn’t matter if Germany are better on paper. Terrible mentality.

I’ve watched Scotland in a lot of tournaments and we’ve never turned up in the first game. Maybe that’s our mentality but these guys now have something to prove to us and themselves.. usually it all clicks in the last game.. Wednesday’s game is a must win.. if for nothing more than pride.. Ive sat amd slated EVERYONE , from clarke to adams ! WE made them look better ! Thats the most embarassed ive ever been watching our nation ! Hes had the balls to face it and fromt the media , fair play ! That defeatist attitude though isnt good enough ! Albania can compete ! We going to keep using excuse after excuse ? There's zero grit or determination showing in that squad ! Mctominey rallies a swuad of "elite" players at united , where was the guy whos marked Neymar out a game ? The look in Robertsons eyes durin gour national anthem was fear ! Hes our one world class player , Gareth Bale dragged wales through games , robertson isnt that player i understand that , but hes won the champions league , hes played at.the very top , time and time again disapears for Scotland! No gilmour , zero fight ! Adams upfront, he doesn't score ! I had belief up until 8.16pm , now we are laughed at for scoring a goal without a shot on target !
