Calloway Peak Hike via Daniel Boone Scout Trail - Grandfather Mountain, NC - Hike Vlog 2

This video is a guide for the route I took to the plane crash site and Calloway Peak. The plane remnants are next to Raven's Roost campsite just before the peak. This hike is not as strenuous as others but it's still difficult and does have a few steep latters to climb. This is not for beginners.
Four trails are used during this route. I took the same path back. Order from first to last:
1. Tanawha
2. Nuwati
3. Cragway
4. Daniel Boone Scout

We hiked the same path back in 2010 and camped for four days at the tent platform site, Ravens Roost. Loved being up there. Hiked across the peak to get to Shanty Spring, where we filled up our water supplies. This brought back great memories. Came across your video researching as we plan to hike and camp it again in 2022.

Great accomplishment man. We are headed to Grandfather tomorrow. I've been looking for the easiest route to any of the peaks. Those ladders at MacRae Peak scare me. These look more my speed. Thanks for sharing.

This route is definitely easier and safer than the Grandfather trail. Thanks for watching.

Doesn't it suck how you put in so much work on some of these Hike videos to show these things and you don't get the views you were hoping for lol! I've gotten a good amount of views for crap and for things like this I don't get very much. I'm grateful for any views but I still find it peculiar lol. Great video man!
