Not just the police but the treasury department also takes bribes so that your pension could be paid to you soon or else they keep the work pending. It honestly sucks. It’s come to the point where Indians trust the military more than any law enforcement… the police don’t keep people safe, so India is probably the only country in the world whose citizens won’t mind if the country becomes militarized which has its own dangers. It’s sad, politicians hold more power than anyone else who is qualified to govern a country and a literal chai wala is the Prime Minister rather than somebody actually educated. Wouldn’t be surprised if these politicians support the scammers because they might get a cut of money from it…

Not that again! You would think people would get it by now and see the funny side. I hope their weren’t to many of them. I doubt any of the people profiting from this garbage are bothered in the slightest about what the rest of the world thinks of their country. Also, it's pretty obvious that a significant portion of the revenue generated by these scams is spent on bribes. How many people reading this would actually be willing to do the right thing if it meant that you and your family would be in very real danger and your income, as well as that of everyone you work with, including your superiors, would be cut by at least 50%? How do you suppose the majority of your coworkers and bosses would react if they were to find out that you were attempting to derail their gravy train?

To be fair, the police departments of most countries will act like that if a foreigner called from abroad. While there might be places to file reports (in the USA you can report cyber crime to the FTC) a police department will not take a report from someone calling from the other side of the globe.

Other people have been threatened to tell their outside families and whilst some do care others simply don't. My mom, 78, recently was scammed by these guys, they had access to her computer for 30 mins and it’s caused so many problems since. It makes me so upset thinking about it- she’s the sweetest person and donates all her time to volunteering and helping others, and got taken advantage of. They had emailed her about some charge and she called them back and it went just like you do it. Just wanted to thank you for actively hunting these awful humans down.

Thank you, if it wasn’t for your videos I would have just lost £200 in an email scam. My Landlady messaged me asking her to get her a gift card for her niece, it was weird but I agreed. I wanted to make sure she wasn’t being scammed so I asked her if it was really for her niece. After typing that out, making sure she wasn’t being scammed i suddenly thought “hey am I the one being scammed here?”I called her and turns out her email address has been hacked and scammers are using her account to scam her contacts. If it wasn’t for your videos I could have fell for it and lost the last of my money. Thanks again for all the work you do

Im extremely sorry to see these. Police won't help you, neither they do to the locals, unless some politicians put a force on them. Im from WB and it really feels so bad to me to see how these scammers scamming people around and not getting punishment. The best approach would be US to take serious action on this. Someone must meet India MEA and raise these concerns. I'm telling you local police will never help you. US needs to put the pressure from top. Because of these scammers, we who hate these scammers as much as the scammed people in US do, are the one who gets shamed.

I am from India and feeling so much ashamed. Proud of you bro for exposing them. They need to be behind the bars asap. I pray that no one gets scammed and robbed off their life savings.

You can't do anything about it even after knowing everything. You know when innocent people get scammed by such people , how helpless they feel. Because if you go to police they will make sure you will regret reaching them. Police try to manipulate you and they want to make you believe how you are wrong in this situation. Pierogi needs to escalate this via a competent US authority, who in thier turn will use diplomatic channels to bring sense to Indian authorities. If he tries to contact Indian authorities esp. The Police, which are Police for namesake, he will meet a dead end. Let keep aside the charge of cyber crime. The Police here wont even register a case for crimes which come under thier ambit, forget about cyber crime.

I love that you keep doing what you do. It must be exhausting hearing the same script all the time to run into the same corruption all the time. But you educate all who watch and follow. Letting my students know cyber security is a field that will always need crime fighters.

It's really appalling to see such a response from the authorities. I feel they are the ones who should be exposed before tearing up on the scammers.

Thank you for creating awareness to scammers. My husbands grandma was scammed 5k and she was told she couldn't tell any family members. By the time she told us it was already too late.

As an Indian I am both Stunned and ashamed of the behavior by the police officer and the scammer . But one thing I want to mention here is that the behavior of scammers is justified that they are criminals and this is what we can expect from them but I literally hate how Indian police responds to every situation they either just love to procrastinate or they are irresponsible af.

Bro I can't believe how low of a common sense you have, I can understand about Americans who don't know 1+1=2 as they don't have basic education what international crime law's are. But as indian what that officer was telling was true, many people do prank calls. if that officer has to take action he need proper complaint not verbal order, if this youtuber is really serious about capturing scammer or having thier location he can easily make petition in his court and even our government had bend in front of USA for such complaints and what Im saying is I'm telling from experience in usa thier is DND service by calling on that number they sued many companies and they had to pay 1-2 grand in dollars in fine
