I've been in the same type of relationship. But I was married to him. I had had boyfriends but he was my first serious relationship He started showing his narcissism 10 hours into our marriage. Started yelling at me in the middle of the airport that I did something wrong with how I submitted the tickets. I didn't know what gaslighting was and I didn't know what red flags and narcissism were. It wasn't until after I got divorced that I realized the extent of the abuse My ex literally got mad at me for bringing him water in a plastic cup. When you're in the midst of abuse, a lot of the time you're blind to it because your brain is trying to protect itself so you don't lose your mind in the middle of the situation It hit later for me though. I ended up with multiple mental illnesses and hospitalizations. And 95% of it was from the abuse I suffered at his hands. I understand wanting to tell her to just leave but I really hope no one put her down or bullied for it. I've learned from my experiences. I don't take anything from anyone anymore. I'm very aggressive and I can be downright mean if I feel like someone is trying to bully me. I can be your best friend or your worst enemy. I can be extremely petty but I can be a shoulder for you to cry on. I'm the worst asshole to assholes but I will deeply care if you're sincere. I've been jaded but I honestly wouldn't have it any other way because I'm finally taking a stand to protect me. If I start dating I can imagine myself telling the guy that if he ever abused me, I will murder him and hide is body. That's not really the best way to have that conversation though😂 I really hope she learns to not take any bs from ANYONE and she doesn't let anyone else manipulate her. She deserves better
