The heart of red army has died when the WW2 ended... During the war, They fought for survival... After the war, they fought for power as much as USA... Such amount of power developed never end well...

@Rick O'Shay its a really unfortunate situation for both sides, the Russians, understandably, wanted revenge for their slaughtered innocents, but then took it out on other innocents as well. Granted, a lot of the defending Germans during the late parts of the war were civillians forced to take arms, so they had to be dealt with like any other German soldier, but still it's quite a shame.

this cod is eerie and dark and it was the first cod to have a zombies mode. so i think they just re used a lot of the sound effects and stuff for zombies because it fit so well and it saves time.

Over 60 million dead. I can't imagine what WW3's death toll will be. Still one of my favorite games though, love games based around WW2.

Justin Schauwecker it will be much smaller considering how tactical each military has gotten. The death toll will still be staggering, but nothing like this. We were learning the rules of a modern war for the first time, that's why there was so much death. The next time, we won't be so naive to think we can simply march into the enemy's capital.

There will, hopefully. Never be a WW3. War is, as I hope this game helps to illustrate. An awful waste of lives, resources, and time. All I'm saying is, give peace a chance. Enough young men have fought and died in wars they don't understand for causes they don't believe in.

Reznov is such a badass

Disappointed how they never made a Battle of Kursk mission. That was the largest tank battle in WW2.

Actually, that honor belonged to the Battle of Dubno in 1941. Still, Kursk was a real tank-on-tank slaughterhouse nontheless. Tanks were even ramming each other at some points and fought like infantry in close combat scenarios

This is called World at War and it's supposed to be about the ending days of World War II

I like how the scene at 4:50 is different throughout everyone's view. In this gameplay, he was just bleeding to death but in my playthrough, he literally got exploded in half and his upper body was just swinging around on the rope.

Remember playing this like it was yesterday still one of my favorites

I remember thinking negatively when they announced CoD was returning to World War II after CoD4; thought it was a step back. God! Me and my friends had some good times on this game in school - CoD4, Halo 3, GTA 4 and this, what a time to be a gamer.

Steven the only thing I hate about it is that they brought back that stupid health system from big red one and finest hour

So I never bothered to take notice to this but at the first mission when Miller and his team are being accounted missing in action. Miller’s face was stamped on but everyone else got theirs stamped by the side. What a way to hide the face. Even modern warfare 3 showed what a picture of frost but it was just his face covered with his mask like one of the delta force player models. And in the mission where you first play as Yuri you can see Yuri early in the game when using the drone simply increase the brightness and zoom and you could see his model was just kamarov. Which I found strange since they did make him a model in the final mission.

waw was the first game i ever played, and it was on a ps3 too lmao.

They need a sci-fi shooter with aliens in this same style, little bit like Halo Reach but more towards this style

Welp.....the world definitely didn't take that whole "peace" thing to heart. Nor did they listen to the "tolerance" part either

I like the dark tone of war. That it makes you feel intrigued about how this were dark times for humanity and that it should never happened again.

Time to reinstall it it just for the cutscenes lol,along with MOH:Pacific Assault..the best video game era

Bruh everytime I see some of these scenes I'm like majority of these deaths could've been avoided -_-

There’s not one video game out there that captures the brutality and atmosphere of World War 2 better than World at War (I also like how they chose the Pacific War and the Eastern, two of arguably the most inhuman conflicts of WW2)

And still this was merely the tip of the iceberg. They missed the mass rape and murder of civilian women in both Stalingrad and Berlin, the SS executing any German civilians who either did not take up arms to fight or attempted to flee, that German children were also sent to fight against the Soviets and how in trench based battles that the British would let some soldiers stay back at their trenches after a charge to open fire on any of their own men that tried to flee the battle. Doubt there will be a game from either Call of Duty or Battlefield that will feature even a spec of that.

The Best COD of all times...I admit..All the Cod Games are awesome.But this one was the real bad ass game all in all..Also i admire Roebucks awesome decisioning...Even if He lost many comrades..he stay strong at will...Never breaks up...This games reminds us of how really the ww2 really looks like...How the soldier and strong one struggle to obtain freedom...Salute!!!

30:14 I only noticed this today but never before. When he asked him why he’s not shooting them and he said cause their bleeding out, Reznov was being humane. Even he didn’t want another human being to die in Suffering

I grew up playing Zombies from Bo1 onward and it is so weird seeing Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richthofen as regular NPCs.

Reznov literally went through that solid tank without even a scratch

In my opinion, the best part about this game is the fact it DOESN’T take place in the Western Front. The developers knew that side of the war was done to death, so they made the brilliant decision to only cover the Pacific Theatre and the Eastern Front, which are less familiar, had more vile and atrocious conditions and were fought with extremely-motivated soldiers. This allowed World at War to be MUCH more memorable and unique than any other COD or WW2 FPS and, as a result, it is easily in the top ten best FPS games of all time.

Im surprised I haven't played this COD until now Best ww2 game so far
