It does give people the sense of a Prequel , but as a Reboot it is great as i suspected since the launch of the Title. and playing the game story. hope they make another soon to continue the story...i am intrigued .

My theory is this is an alternate universe where Zakhaev died at Pripyat in the mission Ghillied Up. Then Viktor, His Son commanded Zakhaev's group to conquer Russia and with the help of Al Asad. The skip is probably because of the AQs and the General's invasion of Urzikstan Price won't have the time to assemble Task Force 141 because there are terrorist threats in the UK and the Urzikstan Invasion of the Russians.

God I love the Campaign so much. It's not only dramatic but it feels...real and brutal. I even love the multiplayer even though many don't. It gives me a challenge and I like challenges

@@josephleone4842 It's a soft reboot, not a full one, so there will still be changes to some events and some same characters as the older games. For example, Gaz is black now, and All Ghillied Up is an event that still happened according to Price in this game. He seemed to hint out that he maybe got the wrong guy, so maybe that Makarov death thing really is a possibility. Who knows what will happen next, all I know is that we're getting a bunch of old MW characters with a new twist. Should be an awesome sequel.

@@josephleone4842 Once again, it's a soft reboot so there's changes to the story and events. Chernobyl 100% happened, Price says this at the end game cutscene in this MW game. Maybe TF141 wasn't formed yet at that point, but Chernobyl happened.

Good fact: Alex doesn't died, he's just lost 1 leg and then replaced with a new prostetic leg

I kind of got lost in the story because of me being dead for most of the game and me raging because of putting it on the 2nd most hardest diffculty and this vidio Just summed it all up

Just completed this game and my god what an amazing game!! I felt like I was in the battlefield as the visuals were stunning, sound was spot on and the storyline was just so good!!! The game length was superb and not short at all and kept me gripped on all chapters.

Realizing it’s a new story/universe in present day and not a prequel really clears up the fact that all of the vehicles and weapons are different and ahead of the original MW story in this game.

God this campaign was just purely amazing. Usually whenever there’s a female lead, it’s always cliche and cheesy. But Farah was probably my most favorite characters in the campaign. Along with Price and Gaz.

This and Blops 1 had some of the best CoD characters, and Blops pretty much nailed its plot, so I think it’s cool that they’re bringing these guys back for a different story. I mean, it’d be even better if they made new memorable characters, but if they have to do this I’ll take it. Might actually play a CoD campaign for the first time since Blops2 (I don’t think I played any after that)

Remember how there's an achievement in MW Remastered titled "Time Paradox" where you kill Makarov after shooting Zakhaev? Modern Warfare 2019's timeline is like this because of that since there's no Makarov to cause the events of the original Modern Warfare, i.e. "No Russian"
