No matter what your ending is you can still get the rock band ending at the end. You just have to wait for the end credits to finish., it's an Easter egg I got the same ending as well but unfortunately can't upload the video because a copyright claim is blocking the video for everyone.

Things I learned from Mason's grave 1. He was 56 in Suffer with Me. 2. David is probably in his forties or late 30s 3. If Mason had lived he would be 92 in 2025

I just finished the game today, Wow! (Bought it about a month back) ... Now I'm kinda glad I let him live. (It was actually cause I knew he wanted martyrdom, so the idea of him losing his mind in ADX Colorado appealed to me. Now I'm glad. I didn't do it just for good taste LOL. Seriously, fantastic role! The way he opens the door in Syria or wherever it was to his army was chilling!!! Vale Kamar!

I remember when I was a kid in my original play through Harper lived but got scarred by fire in the boat mission. As Foried I tried to shoot Menendez, Karma died, and I killed Menendez. And Mason died because I knew it was gonna be Mason and I didn’t think there was going to be an option where he lived. I didn’t know that until after I finished the game.

The more I rewatch the cinematic aspect of the game, the more I try to understand why some options in the game lead to the best / good ending and ofc bad/ worst ending. Hated the fact killing Harper led to a better ending. However, I would believe in any soldiers interest or profession ((of course I can be wrong about this)) but they would fight for peace and justice and not just kill anyone because they are being shunned or frowned upon by others because they’re wearing a uniform from a completely different country. But because it’s morally right. And I would believe maybe Harper would’ve died for Faid anyway since it was in his line of duty to shoot or take a life from another civilian… Then again it was pressed against his temple and blew his brains out and gave someone MASSIVE TRAMA, But again as stated, I’m just noticing how much I hated it, but now relishing the fact that it was sadly correct in many aspects.

I still believe WAW will forever hold that title imo. The atmosphere, the mission design, the music, even just the small humanizing story the apply to you’re squad leaders just make it an absolutely perfect war experience.

i remember during the mission to save Karma i had a thermal scope and i thought “hey let me try to break the game and snipe the guy” i got him and it ended the mission

One thing I liked about Black Ops 2 that separated from other Cods was the choices and consequences of your actions

The part where you kill Harper was important because the part is that if you kill Harper then Karma lives for being defended by Farid, but if Farid dies then that’s how Menendez kills Woods in the end.

gotta say, woods, mason, reznov, they created characters so worth remembering, real kudos to the writers of those games, no other cod comes close, captain price one of the few, and even he is just a rehashed idea from CoD 1 where he became popular because he had a nice stache and a good voiceacting

From BO4's perspective, the actual Canonical Order for BO2's Campaign Timeline is Karma Dies, Farid's Sacrifice, Mason and Harper Lives, Kill Menendez (also completing the Strike Force Missions) and "Cordis Die" happens, so this is the Canonical Path that was chosen for BO4 Timeline placement despite that it has no Campaign (and wished it should've never Existed).

@Roniixx BO3 is litteraly just futuristic but recycles the plot from BO1 entirely, its just the imaginary friend is Taylor instead of Reznov, the digital thingy is the numbers, and the interrogation where you were rememembering everything is instead that whole "your life flashes as you die" cliche, Corvis is probably just a recycling of Kravchenko and Dragovich as instead of putting the numbers in your ming he infects the digital interface thingy, its just the same bullshit from Black Ops 1 but its in the 2060s instead of the 1960s

I just love how in such a hateful voice we here Woods saying Menendez and I also like how he excepts his feet of being a cripple by him grabbing Menendez’s spaz 12 shotgun, and he pulls the barrel to his other knee cap because he knows that he’s going to get crippled so he’s just making it happen faster

I was at the mission Odysseus when i remembered that there were good and bad endings.... sooo i literally rewound the entire story starting from old wounds and doing literally every mission twice LMAO just to get the best ending. It was worth it.

I played through this campaign so many fkn times man, just to get each ending and change what decisions I made each time. This is the only campaign (apart from black ops 1) which I wouldn’t think twice about replaying it over and over, this hits right in the nostalgia balls😩🙌🏻

bro this campaign was so good, knowing ur actions can affect the campaign was so good and made it repayable so many times. ive played it till i got all the endings. plus the voice acting was so good, u can hear the emotion in the actors voice, like when woods yelling "Menendez after he shoots mason sounded so badass, u know it was personal for him after what he did to him in that cargo boat. or when menedenz yells "do it david". what a masterpiece man. " Nurse batshit, wheres my smokes..." XD

I think this is what sets BO2 apart from WaW and BO1. You're not made to feel like a cog in a machine. Instead the entire plot is driven by a small set of main characters, one of which is you, and is defined by themes of grief, loss and vengeance on a very personal level

Somehow I understand every ending besides the best one. Menendez still wanted revenge after woods lived and took care of David, but the government is holding woods. He choose to grow not only his followers and army but created 2 plans just in case one of them goes the other way. Which explains why he escape prison to go to wood's retirement home and why he created that video for his followers. Menendez did 4D Chess to kill woods but the icing of the cake would be him going to his sister's grave because he would of let his followers go ahead with his other plan once someone found out he burn to death in his sister's grave. The worst ending would of show us of him killing himself and his followers going after the government then just him killing himself.

One of them can post the video for him when he does and for him escaping was shown many times in the endings besides the best ending. Menendez always finds a way for his plans to work, even though the story of BO2. Having himself capture and put on the Obama ship is a great example of him having his plan work.

I love this game so much I used to play this a lot years ago. This is one of the best memorable games I've ever played. When I watch these cutscenes again, the nostalgia kicks in.

Man, while Cold War was definitely alright and a small step up from the installments that surrounded it, I couldn't help but be reminded the entire time I played it of how much better Black Ops II was. The original handled everything, from the story, to the gunplay, to the gore, to the tone, to the story choices, to the voice acting, to the writing, to the weapon variety, to the handling of the Black Ops characters, to the twists, to the freaking MUSIC way better back in the day. It was so freaking good

1st time I've ended the game, I didn't let Woods interrogate Kravchenko, on purpose. After what he did, even after Dragovich's death ... I couldn't let that one slip and let it shoot. As one said : "Dragovich, Kravchenko, Steiner, they all must die ...". When I shot Mason 3 times in the head, I've regretted everything ... Karma died, but I've killed Menendez as well. Again without hesitation, because of what he made me do. Kill the character that introduced me to my first FPS, my first Call of Duty.

man. that moment where the character just fall down a burning place and hang on a metal beam is like call of duty ghosts's (my favourite) hunted mission on low budget

Just replayed the game for the first time since release and got the worst ending. I feel very bad about myself

You know, when I shot Mason I actually got the good ending first try because I wanted Menendez to suffer, I had a whole panic attack at the end lol

You know I always wondering in “Suffer With Me” when Menedez shoots Woods, while Woods is on the ground incapacitated he grabs the shotgun and places it on his 2nd knee on purpose.

The world was so close or is close to become a Black Ops 2 reality.

I got the ending where chloe Mason and woods die but Menendez lived. I was like 8 and to this day that one short clip of Menendez's sister still scares tf out of me lmao

I really love how in the old games villains were successful in their plans. Like Menendez avenging his sister, Imran nuking the 30k marines, Makarov with his no russian. It's impossible to see this now, like in reboots all of villians plans were failing and even in CW Perseus can succeed only once, and that is only if you pick USSR ending.

The first ending is one of the greatest endings to a game. That and the emotional impact and epic fucking music as you see david realize his dads alive

Fun fact, when you shoot mason in the head he has a visible bullet wound in his forehead, he doesn't have one if you don't.

you can also unlock the worst ending if karma and mason both live, and you spare menendez but you don’t complete the strike force missions. it's the ending i got :(

Menendez decides to blame everyone but himself. I mean, he tortured Frank's men right in front of him, damn near killed him, and Menendez doesn't expect retaliation? How the hell was Woods supposed to know Raul's sister was in that room, and caught up in the blast!

I got the best ending by accident since I was going to kill what they told you was Mendez but I completely missed since I suck with snipers

PC controls are so weird at least for Cod.

out of all other characters, it is optional if you let them live or not, but for Hudson, he's literally destined to die in the Black Ops 2 universe

After watching this, I figured out all my mistakes. I didn’t think killing Menendez as Farid would be detrimental to the story killing Harper will save karma, letting Harper live will kill all three.

I thought it was just 2-4 endings, never knew woods can die.

Mason lived in my playthrough cause I was ass back then. Mason saying Woods having a bad shot really hit me 😅

There are 3 characters on which the outcome is dependent so if we square the no. 3 then there would be 9 outcomes not 8, it means there are total 9 outcomes, and I have completed the worst one 🤣

Backwards, each character has 2 possible endings, but there’s 3, so it’s a binary, it would be 8
