California World Guitar Show 2024

This was my second year and it was just as good as last years show. I found everyone to be super friendly and willing to talk to me about their guiatrs.
Sit back for a full walk through of the 2024 show.
They had all sorts of cool guitars to look at and demo if you wanted to. I'm currently not a good enough player to do that. They had very rare Fender Stratocasters and Les Paul guitars everywhere.
From their site:
All Amigo shows are international buy-sell-trade events, where you as an attendee may bring all the musical instruments or related items you can carry to sell, trade, or have appraised. By getting bids from several exhibitors, you can quickly establish the market value of your item, and proceed to sell or trade with confidence. Show hours are always 10 am to 5 pm, except the California shows, which close at 5 pm on Saturday, and 4 pm on Sunday.
You may see everything from guitars, amps, banjos, mandolins, drums, violins, effects, memorabilia, sound gear, parts, records, books, accessories, online companies, manufacturers, retail stores, builders, and repairmen, to celebrities who attend the event. Our shows are the only events co-sponsored by Vintage Guitar Magazine, America’s premier guitar publication.

    Very cool to see, but it seems like a very difficult market. You don't see anyone actually buying it and it must be quite stressful to preserve and transport all of this. Just waiting for nothing and coming back with everything again. It's almost just a beautiful exhibition.

    I agree with others great video, if you focus on a guitar show the headstock & the price sheet. I know you said the price on a few. Some are hard to read when you flash the price fast. Great video & thanks so much much for making it!

    The only reason i hate guitar shows, most the sellers are gear collectors and they think everything is gold plated and u cant get no deals, atleast its like that in ohio. They wont even give fair prices on mim strats or lower grade guitars. Vintage players are gold plated. Even there beat to shit.

  • @Bayareaandbeyond777

    @Bayareaandbeyond777

    5 ай бұрын

    Yes, I'm aware that the sound sucks. My mic on my camera didn't know what to listen to me or the noise. Maybe next time I'll invest in some lapel mics. The trouble with those is that the people you are talking to can't be heard unless they have a mic clipped to them. Then that takes away the spontaneity with the people you are talking to. Not an easy problem to solve.

    I ran a guitar show once a year for five years.The over head is high. Promotion is not fun. 100% gear came in 90%-95% probably went back home that vendors brought. I have rented a table a few times. Never sold anything really. People took about 300 business cards. One joker contacted me just to play my amp. Others at the show bought new items at less than dealer cost. And wanted to just noodle and not buy anything real. Now I just save my money and pay too much for the entry price. And I buy cheap to resale....😂😂😂😂
