I took 2nd place overall in the Middleweight division.
Event 1: 180 lbs circus DB tied for 1st place
Event 2: 700 lbs conan's wheel max distance carry 2nd place
Event 3: 25-45 lbs Keg toss over 15' 3rd place
Event 4: 280 lbs/hand farmer's carry x 100' 5th place
Event 5: Keg carry and load 1st place

It's crazy that out of all sports on earth, Middle Weight Strongman is the one you can actually perform good or even win as a pure natural. So awesome in this roid epidemic lol

@@ChrisPBacon3000 certainly, you don't watch this/Allan's channel that much, huh? he often talks about it. "Local" = state, "counties", gym owners etc competitions. Nationals and "heavy sponsored", 99.99% people are on gear, of course. Allan's is a very successful gym entrepreneur and a family guy. Even his/this YT channel became secondary. He'll never (never say never? he said!) compete a at a national/pro level - now he's a natural strongman/bodybuilder who runs (?).

I mean, he did say at the beginning of his body building journey that he was doing it to add upper body mass to improve strongman performance
Brian Shaw, and Eddie Hall retired from strongman for a reason, they didn't want no Alan Thrall Smoke.

I love Alan, he got me in to weight lifting before I got in to strongman and stopped worrying about having a six pack. But he's not half as strong as Brian or Eddie, even with them being retired and dieting down. There are only a handful of men on the planet stronger than Brian shaw and they are all recent WSM winners. And on your average day without training to peak your base workload for WSM Brian is probably still stronger than even recent WSM winners.

My father used to do Strongman at middleweight category. He got married in his 40's, so he was well in his middle years when we were growing up. None of us got to see him but everyone I speak to tells me he was very strong. I wish there was easy availability of video back then as there's only photos to look at. But, even in the photos he looked like an all out athlete.
