Damonsen If you play it, you’ll realize the cats do come to the quilt before it’s finished. If you play well, that is. :-)

Excellent video as always. Glad to hear your thoughts as one of the reasons I backed this game was for solo play. Hopefully it won't be to much longer in arriving.

The most important thing you said for me is that the solo plays like a multi player game.

If you like that kind of puzzle (tower defence) Under falling skies is wonderful. There is a campaign that is good, but you don't have to play it. It's great. So many decisions to make, so many variations due to crazy amount of stuff in the box... Amazing solo experience.

Have you noticed that tile AAA-BBB have different basic value (blue circle) than the real component

I've learned that Zee doesn't like too many options, even outside heavy Euros. It's the same reason he's not a big fan of Isle of Skye. For some odd reason, he thinks tile-laying games should have far less thinking involved, like in Carcassonne. That's the exact reason I can't stand Carcassonne and love me some Isle of Skye. Backed Calico because it looked like it would scratch this Isle of Skye itch. Also, the people and their "Too many cat games!" When there are as many cat games as there are Cthulhu games, then they can complain. Until then... NO!

My biggest worry about this game is that it looked like it would be very fiddly. You didn't think it was?

No, I didn’t find it fiddly in the least. On a physical component level, the dual layer board keeps everything in its place, and the rule set is extremely concise and right.

What the heck is polarizing about cats? They are the sweetest beings on this earth and all in all so much better than we are...

5/10 for me, too thinky and too random at the same time
