How fun!! I was born and raised in San Jose so we were at Raging Waters a lot during my childhood. Brings back so many memories 😊 the new park looks good I’m glad to see it up and running again 😁 great video thanks for sharing ❤

Considering they only had a couple months to do all of these renovations, the park is looking great. This is the best this park has looked in a very long time, despite all of the closed slides. When this park was Raging Waters, there was dead grass everywhere, so many of the rides were always closed, the pathways were super muddy in some places, and the food places were highly overpriced and didn't even accept credit cards. Those were just a few things that were bad about how this park was when it was Raging Waters, there were so many more. On another note, the snake slides will unfortunately never open again as during the COVID offseason, a few major foundational issues were discovered and the ride was deemed no longer safe to operate. The trapdoor slide also will be going through a major renovation due to a few missing parts and will reopen next season. I would assume this season is more of a "test season" for the new park and the next season will be more complete with more turf and other renovations as well as maybe a new slide or two. Definitely give it another visit in 2025 for the more complete experience. Anyways thanks so much for the video, loved seeing the park before I visit it and I can't wait for more new videos!

Showing my age here a bit, but I remember going to Raging Waters way back when they first opened. It was a beautiful park. It seems as though they let things fall apart over the years. I’m sure the new operators are doing all they can,with the resources they have, to revive this location to its former glory. It just seemed like they weren’t quite ready for prime time. I’m sure they don’t want to miss out on the summer crowds. It has a lot of potential, and will only get better from here on. Thanks for showing it to us, Eldon.

@Coast2Coast88 yeah! So it closed down about a year ago and the group called Silverwood entertainment took over ownership. Palace entertainment walked away after their contract ended in Nov of 2022. So glad it got picked up and is back in business.

@@jessicam522 oh course! To be a perfect day on the grand opening is almost unheard of. I expected some issues. Overall, it was a really good time.
Had a few birthday parties there when I was a kid, super cool to see it open and refurnished!

as a kid this looked so fun but as an adult now with a 2 year old, this place looks way too crowded and i dont want to be in the water with that many people haha. looks fun though

@@bg710 I think it'll die down in a few weeks. It was just very crowded from the opening day hype. Plus, half of the attractions were down.
I love my hometown. I use to work as a lifeguard at raging waters.

I lived around the corner from this place for almost 23 years, brings back memories, the view of the hillside and the lake, I even worked at the Macys across the street at the mall, nice that they decided to reopen it, for awhile there was rumors that they were gonna repurpose the property for something else but this water park is familiar to everyone who lives in the Bay Area and hopefully in time they revamp it properly because it really does need an update.

We went last year at raging waters and the grass was dried, there are bird poop all over the place. Seems owners at Cali Bunga saved the place. Seems there are still some bugs in opening day as far as systems not working properly. Its July already and certain attractions don’t work? If they want to compete with Boomerang Bay, they need to come correct.

I really liked the views of the lake and the hills from the top of the slides. That was really nice! I wish I could be there tomorrow because it’s supposed to be 114 in my town😬🥵 Oh goodness! Thanks for taking us on another fun adventure!

Yes it’s been so hot here and still staying triple digits for the next week too! I wish I could stay at home with my ac everyday, but work life has to happen. Lol!

Those 2 green slides you zoomed in on 😮 triggers my worst nightmare 😂😂 $49 seems a lot for what little they had to offer, at least the pass was decent price.

San Jose Native here! Love to see an vlogger in my hometown come through my feeds! Always curious how CaliBunga would look like compared to Raging Waters! Great video! What camera are you using if you don’t mind me asking, it takes vibrant colors very well. (Unless thats was done through editing lol😅)

@retrocharles Haha no problem! It was a lot of fun. I honestly can't wait to return. I do all of my recording on my Galaxy S23 ultra. No editing is done to the footage. It was all raw.

@ellenbagto I have to say, out of the ones you mentioned, I have to say South Bay Shores. It's just newer, more updated, and has a lot more food to choose from. PLUS!! it's attached to a theme park! That takes the cherry on top.
Do they offer towels? Or do you have to bring your own?

The line to get into Hurricane Harbor was backed up for miles today! I did my Discovery Training (1st day tomorrow…YAY!) today & heard parking was going into the overflow lot. Drink your water folks! 😅🥵 P.S. That water looks very refreshing!

@raw_fittedz I could have covered the revamped area a little better, but they have a lot of new cabanas and turf in the back area. Eventually, they will get to the rest of the park and get rid of all the dead grass.

@@Eldons_Excursions After hitting the water park you should check out Sensorio field of lights. Its awesome my family loved it! its just up the road on 46 from the water park.
