Calibrating Your FFF Printer’s Bed With Autodesk Fusion

Ғылым және технология

Welcome to this video on how to use Autodesk Fusion to calibrate your FFF printer’s print bed using the "Printer Bed Calibration" project in the samples folder.
Many printers have an auto-leveling capability which allows them to calibrate the height of their printer’s bed automatically. However, some printers do not have this functionality and require manual print bed calibration. This can be done by printing a simple 1-layer test which will show you which areas are the bed need to be tuned in order to get the best first layer possible. As we know, a good first layer is critical, especially when printing with trickier materials like TPU.

I need to turn anti aliasing off once every hour because Fusion keeps turning it on. Stop turning it on I turned it off for a reason......

I don't understand why you would work on slicer software..... I design my part, export as a stl and use prusaslicer to slice. Is anybody actually using it?

The idea behind it is so when you need to make a change, you don't have to re-export it every time you make a change. However, their slicer is extremely clunky to use. I wish they would coop with say the Prusa slicer team to make something halfway user friendly.

@ezras8889 makes sense, less computing power used by exporting files! They could just use prusaslicer, it's open source..... bambulad copied it for theirs!

It makes a huge amount of sense to be able to complete your design, and then just print it. Doing anything else seems counterproductive... UNLESS... The built in slicer is not up to scratch? I have not used it, and from what you say, I'll hold off until I see glowing reports! 😜

@@gkoornhof on the main drawing screen on the very bottom of the screen there is a computer image called "display settings". Click on that, then environment, then dark sky. It doesn't change the icons to dark mode but your drawing environment is dark mode. This is about as close as one can get to dark mode.
