🟥 DISCLAIMER: I make these videos to share my own personal methods and techniques for how I make cold process soap. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. The content I create is intended for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can permanently damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear during the entire soapmaking process, even while cleaning up. I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining. However, due to the many variables that can affect a batch of soap, if you do try any of my methods or techniques that I use in my videos, I cannot be held liable or responsible for your results.

I forgot to mention why I added two lids to the soap before leaving it overnight. The piece of acrylic was used to prevent any fresh air getting inside, which can cause ash. I added the wood lid on top of that for insulation during the gelling process. The wood lid by itself doesn't sit perfectly flat, so I like to use both. Thank you so much for watching! I also wanted to thank everyone who has purchased one of my SoapMaker graphic t-shirts (listed above...under the video description box) or used any of my affiliate links. I can't thank you all enough for supporting my channel! - Holly :)

thanks for sharing, Holly. I made a similar soap but with Chamomile petals. I also added some ground chamomile petals to the batter. Love and greetings from Pretoria, South Africa.

Great soap! I always freeze my infusions and juices for my soaps. Otherwise, the sodium hydroxide would burn all their good properties...

Thank you so much for your generous spirit!! I have learned so much from you and all your videos. I love them dearly. At a time when people weren’t sharing recipes you were then and now. I thank you for your encouraging heart helping us to believe that we can do it. I believe there’s a Queen of soap commerce and a soap Queen. You guess which is which🤣. Thanks for sharing your ideas in a calm (Kentukian) way. Forgive me if I guessed wrong. Stay safe and thanks so much!!!💗. PS Calendula is my to die for so if your wondering why I’m gushing could be that. 😎

What a great soap! I can’t use calendula (I’m allergic to it☹️) but I can use other botanicals! Thank you for the great idea!💕

Thank you for your lovely videos, you've been a great inspiration, I started my soapmaking and I loved it. Could you please teach us how to make our own infused oil to use instead of the essential oils or fragrance oils, they are nowadays too expensive. Could we use this same method for any kind of herbs? Mint for example. Will the final result be the same as if we used essential oils?

I love watching your videos, you film them so well, the music is always balanced and nice and your voice is really calming and friendly. I love how you show the soap calc at the end of each video, it makes it not so scary to us beginners! And I must say the soap looks so rich and lush, is that because you used the 6% superfat? Which I assume means you use more fat in the recipe right? I love calendula and growing it, I didn't have much this year but hope to plant tons of it this summer.
