    Thank you Professor Leonard. Your Calculus 1 videos are really helpful. My in class lectures went by very fast. Sometimes she cuts the corner and we all got lost. However, your calculus videos explained step-by-step in details and made so much easier to understand. I am sure that many college students out there are benefits from your videos. Thank you for your times and supports.

    The second problem is overcomplicated ny using quotient rule. You can simply split the fraction up into: (1/x) - (1/x^3), now its just power rule. (We are not dividing by zero when simplifying the fraction, because we already noted our function is undefined at x=0. Also prof. Leonard does the same when simplifying his answer after quotient rule for the same reason.)

    So professor I have a question about simplification. In the video where at 39:41 you did a simplification with x^2 and x^6 but while you did that you didn't said that we should take 0 as a critical point right there because of simplification. Yes I know we found 0 as a critical point in the denominator. but what if we didn't. What if the denom was something like x^6-2x^2? Sorry if i'm wrong but this things just bugs me out.

    Horizontal Asymptote as the "x" approaches -infinity and + infinity, it is not at x=0, actually as the function approaches infinity on both sides the function y=0, I think you got confused at that part..

  • @whenyou238

    @whenyou238

    It's considered a possible inflection point, but since it doesn't exist--or is undefined--in the original equation, it isn't accounted for as seen in the video
